And I have to admit I was taken in at the start of it all. I do believe that any American, especially in Chicago, has the right to get a sandwich at any time of day or night in peace.

Turned out this case was not about that at all.
 
Im in Chicago and didn't believe this story at all when it came out! Something was always fishy with it for me! I mean he is FUCKING GUILTY!!! He falsified a police report that is a class 4 felony in Illinois punishable by 1-3 years in jail! This should be open and shut a slam dunk for the prosecution he lied about the police report that is a crime jail time boom done end! But with out joke states attorney/D.A. Kim Foxx she'll let him walk she makes the Illinois judicial system a complete fucking joke!

We shouldn't move on. This was a race-baiting hoax--one of many over the years--seized on by those who want to believe the worst about the nation, as well as useful idiots who are eager to please so-called progressives and the aggrieved minority lobby. It is no surprise that the race-baiters of BLM came out in support of him. Lock him up as soon as possible for as long as possible as an example.

That's the thing. Was this an attempt to stir up racial animosity or was it done in the hope of reviving a flagging z-list acting career?
 
It was an attempt to revive his career that he knew would stir up further racial animosity. He saw this accruing to his advantage and enhance his celebrity because it would play well in the national media and in Hollywood, verifying their favorite narrative that the United States is irredeemably racist, and that Trump supporters are racist and homophobic. He stated that he thought he had been targeted not simply because he was black and gay, but because he had been outspoken in his criticism of Donald Trump. He portrayed himself as both victim and martyr. I have little doubt that he thought it offered a path to becoming a darling of right-thinking whites, just as Angela Davis, his childhood mentor, was.

His actions are particularly heinous because they took place during a crime surge in Chicago that witnessed a huge increase in the murder rate--primarily that of blacks killing blacks--so that police resources that should have gone to investigating those crimes went into investigating the bogus crime that Smollett orchestrated. While this was seemingly of no import to the (black) DA Kim Foxx who, solicited by both Clinton and Obama operatives at this time, chose not to prosecute, it was of huge import to the (black) police chief who publicly expressed his outrage at both Smollett and Foxx.

Don't even get me started on that useless Cunt Kim Foxx its because of her and her lack of prosecution that my particular area in Chicago is starting to turn into a grade F Ghetto infused shit hole! There have been an ever increasing number of robberies and gun violence by mine lately and its all because 1 the cops are afraid to do their job. 2 This dumb bitch won't make charges stick and 3 our Jail system has a revolving door built into the main entrance. They go in at 9 am they are out by 5 I swear its like a fucking regular job for some of these mooks! There are no consequences to ANY CRIMES! That embarrassing looting of June 2020 I don't think I heard about one prosecution in town!

I would have thought that, even if it had been true, it would have had very little impact on his career
