so embarassing if a person was to come out and then every one they came out to said "Umm dude we already knew, you are like so obvious".

It happens a lot. I guess it can be somewhat deflating but, on the other hand, it's somewhat comforting too in that people knew all along and it wasn't a big deal to them.
 
Thats what happened to me. Everyone in my family said that they already knew. It was such a relief. So far, I have only encountered 1 person who was genuinely surprised that I am gay. We were best friends as children, and strangely enough, he is gay as well. Neither of us guessed that the other is gay!!!
 
I still havn't come out yet (unfortunately) but I hope that when I do my family/friends say to me that they already know...
 
i wonder how my friends and family would react IF i ever came out to them......:confused:

i'd love them to say 'we knew it all along' although i have my doubts.

I don't know how I would feel if they said that. None have to this point... well except one, but that's b/c I'd told him what bars we were going to and they were all gay bars. LOL.
 
yeah, but then wouldn't you feel like a fool for not having told them earlier?
 
Yeah. An aquaintance of mine finally came out and I hear he was a bit put off that all his friends already knew and were just waiting for him to actually say it finally.
