It was about the Judiciary

I agree that the Democratic Party isn't what I remember it having been. It is led too much by intellectuals and idealists who don't understand normal life and working people, but it is still soooo much better than what has happened to the Republican Party which has been taken over by greedy economic titans who are misleading a rabid superstitious mob. I'm sure that there are better descriptive words that don't come to my mind right now.

Opinion: do something different or Trump wins again. Biden is an awful candidate. So was Sanders. No, not a Bernie Bro either.

As the lifelong Democrat that you were/are - who would YOU suggest?

I agree that Biden and Sanders were not good candidate choices, but I don't know of anyone else who could have pulled the nation together. Michael Bloomberg might have been better, but I am not sure of that either. I don't think that a woman could have done it either. I just hope and pray that Biden can pull this off.

THAT is the dilemma. Neither party has produced a good choice. Either way it's a stinker and hold the nose while you pull the lever. Sure, sure - half the country thinks Trump stinks and the other half thinks it's Biden. Just because I don't like one doesn't mean I have to love the other.

I get the impression that Biden is just the titular top of the ticket and we will really be asked to vote for his VP pick. He has already set us up to suspect he might not serve out a full term. Remember when he said "Whoever I pick needs to be ready to serve from day one, because I'm an old guy?" While the general statement is true, the premise of the statement is the salient issue.

And there is now such a fever over whom he'll pick because he appears impaired. If it's any of the other primary candidates, they're losers too. The majority of the party rejected them. Stacy Abrams? Not a chance. Not because she's female or black. Because she's completely driven by identity politics - she said so - and I believe most of America is not.

How about Biden - Pelosi? Think she would give up the Speakership for a chance at President? [-X

You didn't answer the question, who do YOU want to be President? Enquiring minds want to know!

Oh, I'm back. Just had to leave for real life for a while - job, you know.
Not here for a spat. Not a troll. Yes, a registered Democrat over 50 years.
Just speaking my mind about what I see about the party.
Dissatisfied with what the party has become, the people who offer themselves for election and the "anyone other than Trump" platform. We used to be so much more.
I've been on JUB for 14 years so I know how some people love to judge and argue. Doesn't bother me. I'll speak my opinion. I know it's wrong to you. So is yours to me.

I CALL BULLSHIT! You are obviously pushing an agenda, given that whole silent majority crap - I suspect a consumer of gruffy cabrito. C'mon, you can tell me, I won't snitch - promise.

I dream of Trump and Pence getting covid-19 and dying and Nancy Pelosi becoming president, but I don't think it will happen and I don't want to wish anyone bad luck. I don't think that Nancy really wants the presidency because she has what she wants already. Besides that there would be an uproar from a large minority of people if that happened. And no, I don't think that Pelosi is a good choice for vice president. She has too many people who dislike her as they dislike Hilary Clinton, but differently.

Sixty-four year old, Miss Lindsey Graham is worried that he's not going to be in the majority after November.

The judges should respond, "You first, Lindsey".

Sen. Lindsey Graham encourages senior judges to step aside ahead of election [CNN]
Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham on Thursday encouraged senior federal judges to step aside so his committee can approve conservatives who President Donald Trump would nominate to replace them ahead of the November election.

"This is an historic opportunity," Graham said in an interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt. "If (Trump) can get four more years, I mean, it would change the judiciary for several generations. So if you're a circuit judge in your mid-60s, late 60s, you can take senior status, now would be a good time to do that if you want to make sure the judiciary is right of center."
"This is a good time to do it," the South Carolina Republican stressed.

The unusual plea was prompted by Hewitt and reflects a recognition from Senate Republicans they may not control the chamber next session and therefore won't be in a position to push through confirmations of Trump's judges should he win reelection.
