It's a Boy!

Archibald would have been a better choice for one the Cambridge sons as they will most likely inherit their father's male-pattern hair loss. The only notable Archies I can think of offhand are fictional and far from auspicious. Archie Andrews (the one on the left) ...

the American Alf Garnet.

I like Archie and am giggling that none of the prognosticators came close to guessing the name.

It's also a chance for me to remember Archie Trader, a late friend of my father's - and of mine. A great guy.

horrible name--what were they thinking? they seem to be so cool with such good taste---Harrison Archie would have been better---

Archibald would have been a good choice, and they could have called him Archie in private... but maybe they thought that since the boy will be "Archie" any way, why bother with the long form, like Harry'S parents did, baptizing him "Henry" only to call him "Harry" all the time. At least they did not call him "Darren" like it was briefly trolled on Wikipedia yesterday...

I remembered another famous Archie. Archie Leach, a.k.a. Cary Grant.
