It's a long weekend!

And it's chilly and rainy... sort of mixture between a summer stormy day and a common autumn rainy evening: ever so inspiring!

You get cozy among your stuff and do this and that... like finishing The Driver's Bitch, or getting interested again in The Prime of Bitch Brodie... by reading it backwards from the end.

Muriel Spark would love that; it's another way of 'peeling the onion'. The character Ilse knows her death and travels to Italy determined to make it happen.

I see similarities between Spark and Pinter in that they're both interested in identity and deathliness in life. His play 'Betrayal' has scenes which run backwards from the end—



This movie unpeels the relationship of a marriage; I think every man wanting a Gay Marriage should watch it.

BTW: Jeremy Irons looks so young and pretty in that 30 year old clip; he looks like that Canadian pornster called Gabriel Clark and Gabriel Lenfant looks like now.

He most certainly does NOT look cute, and even less like that relatively manly ho.
With "reading backwards" I was referring to The Prime, not The Seat... a futile intent to go through a tale that, at least now, I consider a total waste of time... like the seven minutes I watched from this film yesterday.
