I love eating clams. But I had never seen it in action. In this video, the clam appears to be licking salt from the table. Other experts said the clam is just feeling its environment for safety.

It looks creepy like a sci-fi movie.

That clam isn't eating salt it's dying because it's looking for water because it can't survive without it.
