It's going to be hot in Melbourne next week with 30+ days. I had to turn on the heater this week and it's supposed to be summer.

We literately had blinding rain down here last week and freaky thunderstorms. Next week the air conditioners would be roaring up.
 
Googling 'weather Sydney' gave me 19C (66.2F)... where I live, it's 1C (34F) right now. I'd prefer Sydney ;)

34 deg C down our way (Sth coast WA) yesterday for Chrissy Day; today it's about 36 as I'm typing this at 2.45pm. Had some leftover cold ham followed by leftover trifle for lunch and now I'm sitting here in the lounge room with the fan going full bore and I'm watching the cricket on the telly. Just finished my 4th Carlton Draught stubbie, too .... the perfect way to spend Boxing Day! ..|

This evening (Boxing Day), I was talking to my Grandma who lives in Perth. She told me it was 44.2C there today. Cairns today was raining and 33C - one could say it was rather humid!

Ozguy...I hate you. Here in Ottawa Canada, we are averaging -3 Celsius and calling it a warm spell for Christmas.

Why the hell did my ancestors not keep on sailing south?

Up here we can easily go from -3 C, to -13 C in 24 hours then back up to -3C . The weather here, is up and down like a toilet seat at a mixed party.

And we are only four days into winter season.

I will get back to you in early to mid February when we get our ARTIC breezes. (think minus 40 Celsius wind chills).

Enjoy your torrid weather though.
