I like cranberry juice, and I like it even more when it's blended with pomegranate juice.

Ocean Spray juice is expensive, though, so I went to the freezers to see if they made a concentrate. They didn't, but Minute Maid did. I read the nutrition label:

Calories - 120
Sugars - 36 grams

Serving size? 4 tablespoons!! (60 ml)

The Ocean Spray I buy is diet but delicious. It has:

Calories - 10
Sugars - 2 grams

Serving size? 1 cup!! (250 ml)


A 240 ml serving of Minute Maid would yield:

Calories - 480 calories
Sugars - 144 grams

I put the Minute Maid back on the freezer shelf.

Probably means 4 T of concentrate, which would dilute to around 1 cup of beverage. So while it's a lot of sugar, that's normal for regular (non-diet) fruit juice, as far as I know.

I second this.

If I drink juice I just mix it with water or seltzer to dilute it rather than buy diet which is fake sugar. You should buy real cranberry juice and try it with some seltzer or mineral water. The closest you can get with Ocean Spray is one that has cranberry juice mixed with other juices to sweeten it (cranberries are very, very tart). But most Ocean Spray is mixed with lots of sugar, or in your case fake sugar.
 
You can get President's Choice at No Frills and several other big stores, Zehr's etc....It's not just at Loblaws anymore.
 
I thought this was going to be about the foul sugary mess that is Smirnoff Ice. :sick:

It's still a bus ride for me.

I'll check the label more closely next time, but I read the word 'Prepared' on it.
 
I could drink grapefruit juice till I was dead!!!

Man, it's like a show I watched which referred an apple juice with 99% sugar #-o
 
don't forget your beloved ketchup which is about 1/3 sugar. sometimes even more ;)
