Texas also has the most severe voter suppression and gerrymandering in the country. People who don't vote for the "pubs are gerrymandered into a few districts that guarantee they can't make any difference. The statewide races see voter purges, musical chair polling places, suddenly changing rules, disqualifications, plus voter intimidation, and rumors - like the one that was spread in the Valley that if you register to vote, INS will investigate your family.

Even so, things are starting to turn on the Trogs.

It's not the guns who kill the people it's the bad people with the guns that are doing this and it needs to stop but it seems like almost all the time I'll see something like that again

It may go to Abbott's desk to give some members of the Legislature cover to say that they "did something". Abbott won't sign it unless the billionaire spigot dries up.
