Texas also has the most severe voter suppression and gerrymandering in the country. People who don't vote for the "pubs are gerrymandered into a few districts that guarantee they can't make any difference. The statewide races see voter purges, musical chair polling places, suddenly changing rules, disqualifications, plus voter intimidation, and rumors - like the one that was spread in the Valley that if you register to vote, INS will investigate your family.
