I want to know more about the homelife of this kid.

I do hope the prosecutor is looking into the parents.

Guns aren't toys and no 13 year old should have access to this much weaponry. And the fact that this is a "homeschooled" kid and the parents are making excuses for the behaviors and the postings says that the problem is likely not just the kid.

Stories like this one should makes us all worry. These mentally ill people are accumulating large caches of weapons and Congress and SCOTUS continue to make it easier to buy them.

The Denver local press deserves credit for putting focus back on a growing problem with radicalization in young men. One of the students that he shot was Jewish.

The Denver shooter used a revolver, so his targets were not random. He wandered through the 3 story building selecting his targets.

The 16-year-old boy who shot two students and then himself at Evergreen High School this week appeared to espouse white supremacist views online and showed an interest in mass shooters in the days before the attack.

Social media accounts that appear to be connected to shooter Desmond Holly are littered with references to mass shootings and antisemitic views, The Denver Post found.

Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jacki Kelley on Thursday said Desmond had been “radicalized through an extremist network,” but declined to offer any additional details. The public accounts offer some insight into what that radicalization might have included.

In one photo posted on TikTok five days ago, Desmond appears to be wearing a black T-shirt with the word “Wrath” written in red across the chest — similar to what one of the attackers wore in the 1999 massacre at Columbine High School, also in Jefferson County. The same post also includes an image of the 15-year-old who killed two people and injured six more at a Madison, Wisconsin, school in December.

The interesting thing is that a large proportion of gun owners are incapable of comprehending why anyone would use a firearm for aggression -- they're so trained that guns are for sport or for defense of self and others that the notion doesn't fit in their minds.
It's the idiots who never learned actual discipline that are the problem. Proper training reduces that number, but too many have such a sense of entitlement that they don't think they need any training.
How could this happen? Easy when you don't hold fellow gun owners accountable! "It takes a village" doesn't just apply to raising kids.

One source of the attitude towards Jews is prison. I know two guys who had no prejudice before they went to prison for non-violent felonies but when they came out they had been brainwashed into seeing Jews and blacks as legitimate targets for violence. This attitude spreads also through jails when inmates have done prison time previously, infecting lesser criminals with the same attitudes.
