It's official.. Leno is out, Fallon is in!

Leno is clearly carried by his writers but I don't think Fallon will do better. Conan would have been a better choice but that ship has sailed. I actually enjoy Chelsea Lately over any other "late-nite" show because she actually has her writers partake in the show instead of having the host take all the supposed credit.

Never cared much for Leno.

Hate Leno--the guy comes across as a robot--no heart--- find him unwatchable---and it's a matter of time when Kimmel starts to beat him---and that's why Fallon is being brought in---to compete with Kimmel---who has had some great shows since he premiered--both are younger and the comedy is hipper. Dave is still great in his own hip old way.

It's a risky move. If they want better demos then Fallon will most likely deliver and since he isn't as quirky as Conan he may not alienate as many of their traditional long time older viewers....

I like Jay...I like Conan...I like Jimmy Fallon...I like Kimmel..I like Ferguson...

The only one I don't like is David Letterman.

My favorite is actually Carson Daly...I find his interviews and people he chooses infinitely more interesting.....

The only times I have had a must see schedule for late night was when Ronald Reagan Jr and Bill Maher had their late night shows.

I don’t see Leno retiring. It may end up like 2009 all over again unless Fallon’s people planned better than Conan’s. Or NBC stops trying to have it all.

I think NBC is taking another risky move. The Leno/Conan mess comes to mind. That didn't work out and I don't think this will too. NBC is out of touch. Same problem with the Today show. Ann Curry firing was messy and even though the Jay Leno tonight isn't exactly the same, it's still another mess. I'm sure another network will snatch up Jay Leno for another late night talk show. NBC is taking a big gamble and I don't think it's going to pay off for them in the long run.

I never liked Jimmy Fallon when he was on Saturday Night Live. I always thought he was an idiot.

^This. I see history repeating itself and Leno finding out that he can't do anything else... and pushing Fallon right on out.
