As of yesterday, I am now officially eligible for the 'Senior's Discount' at Shopper's Drug Mart. I have now lived long enough to claim the right to 10% off every purchase.

When I turned 50 this year, the AARP tried to send me a membership offer.
As far as I know "official" senior age starts at 62 or 65.
In Canada, the age of retirement (65) is different than the age of being eligible for the senior's discount at Shopper's, which is 60. Seniors get a lot of discounts up here. As of yesterday, I also don't have to pay ATM or debit fees to my bank. It's all free now.
There's a discount at theatres as well, but I haven't been to a movie theatre since Princess Bride made the rounds.
