We were very good friends for 8 years before we became roommates. Now we are roommates out of necessity. It is almost impossible to find an apartment I can afford to live in by myself. A single room in a rooming house is more of an option for me and I did that for 10 years before becoming his roommate. I don't relish the idea of moving back into a rooming house.
