By November the cold weather will arrive in Seattle . . . I hope!

Did about 10 lawns yesterday and found that they are starting to slow in their growth. Probably one last cut in about two weeks and then the leaves should start falling.

If it ever stops raining long enough for me to cut it

I think one more cut.

It rained all weekend so that didn't happen....but I did have a few sunny hours yesterday and cut down all the tall perennials to keep them from re-seeding willy nilly where I don't want them.

I only have the leeks to pull this week and the last of the chard and collards to cut and freeze and that is it for the season.

So sad....but now I really have to buckle down and do some real work inside.

I think I finally got the last cut of the season in. All the leaves on the trees in the backyard are down and mulched up. The trees in the front have about 1/3 of the leaves remaining, So I cut the grass to the shortest length and they can blow down the street. I can’t believe it’s time to put Christmas lights up on the house. I’ll clean the gutters when I do that.

We are fucking done. As of last week. I have to tidy up the John Deere and get him into the barn before the snows hit this year. Last year, He had to sit out by the house under a tarp because the snow fell and I never had a chance to move him up to the Winter Palace.
