It's summer! Yay! (Well, at least for 1/2 of the world)

My summer vacation officially started at 2:25 PM today, when I checked out with my school secretary, and walked out the door of school to a glorious Western New York afternoon...sunny...breezy...and 67 degrees F.

We had finished with the kids on Wednesday, but were contractually obligated to be there until noon today. I was a little later checking out because I am moving to another classroom for fall, and had to finish packing.

All year 'round, Wisconsin weather is like ... :confused:

Summer is happenin' with Great Days, on the Great Lakes, ranging from high, to low, Humidity! One day's 80(F) feels like another day's 100!

This year's Jet Stream has been rather "stable", so far. (Rather "weird"!), with High, and Low, fronts "lingering"! #-o Several days of rain, and storms, or ... Sunny Days with tolerable, or not, temps/humidity! ](*,)

It's been said that if you don't like Wisconsin's weather, just wait an hour, or so, and it will change! Not this year, though ... (and I keep thinkin' of Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth"!)

I'm also wonderin' about how my "Buds" are doin' with Winter in Melbourne! :rolleyes:

But ... no matter what ...

Summer came to western Illinois with torrential rains. Some parts of my County got over 7 INCHES of rain Friday morning.

Summer may be "official" for half of the world right now, but this "upper half" includes the great majority of the land masses, as well as the great majority of the world's population. And what about some place that's right smack on the equator, such as Quito? What season is it there, or are seasons considered there at all?
