It's Time For Big Brother 8 (USA)!!! (Merged)

i dunno...they've had a few seasons of it in the UK....it's worked there...why wouldn't it work here?

Saw the heavy promos this week on TAR and figured with the writers strike they'd probably try one for early in the year instead of just the summer one. Need something to fill the void once all the original episodes of the other shows are aired.

I don't think so...especially if one of them is a Celebrity edition...which could be fun

We already have that. Surreal Life on VH1. Not very entertaining. And I doubt a celebrity would be able to go 2 or 3 months with no contact from the outside world.

CBS has said that BB9 will not be a celebrity version and if the strike isn't resolved that you can expect the show to air as early as February which explains the rushed casting schedule. All they need to do is slightly tweek the brand new set from BB8 and figure out which new stupid twist to add to the game. (hint: it's already hidden in ChenBot's ginormous hair-do)

That's different than Big Brother. There's no gameplay involved. Still I think there's a big difference between the popularity of BB in the UK and US and as a result a big difference in their ability to cast a celebrity version. Plus what publicist would be like yes go be nationally televised 24/7 I'm sure you won't say anything that'll ruin your career.
