Yup, you guessed it : a Yu-Gi-Oh! thread !!!

Any other fellow YGO addicts here ? If so, what do you like ? The series, the game, the video games, what ?

I love the series (I've seen every single episode so far if I'm not mistaken), I have GX series 1st season all on dvd...I don't play the actual (real-life) card game (although I do have some cards, my very first card was SLIFER !!!! :eek:) cos it'd be too expensive I think to find enough good cards to build a gret deck etc...and I like the video games as well, particularly the WC 2006.

Many people are complaining that the new series, GX, is not as good as the original and that they don't like it, but I disagree. I like it just as much as the old series. And Jaden's deck is my all-time favorite deck ! Damn, those Heroes are just so...COOL ! :D

Any others out there with the guilty pleasure of Yu-Gi-Oh ! ??
 
I Love Yu Gi Oh. well i haven't seen the new series at all, but i have a seen the old ones (duelist kingdom, blah blah). I own a couple of the video games, played a some of the others i don't own. I like the new WC 2007 for Nintendo DS.

I would never want any of the god cards. They're cool but my favourite is Dark Magician. He was actually my first card, him and Sagi the Dark Clown. I have a deck and a lot of other cards but I don't Duel in tournaments or anything like that.
 
i used to watch the series.. but i got bored of it.. then the last season happened when they went to ancient egypt and i thought it was awesome again.. I loved the last season

i'm not a huge fan of GX because it has a lot of cheesy humour....

i do play the card game... but it cost too much

right now i have the computer based card game called yugioh virtual desktop which is the card game on the computer.. its much better cus I don't have to pay for the cards.... :P

i also own 2 of the video games...

I love GX !! Jayden's and Zane's decks are the coolest ever ! (I think...maybe later I'll remember other decks I like more but...those Elemental Heroes are DANG !)

Puka Pride: how new is this game you're talking about ? How many cards does it have and how recent are they ? Like, does it have the Elemental Heroes who are the new generation ?

My favorite season so far must've been Battle City. Loved every bit of it ! Second probably Waking Of The Dragons...

In the Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2007 game for DS my deck that it started me off with had most of the elemental hero cards in it. They have some cool effects. Neos i think is the coolest but you have to sacrafice for him. I'll stick with my Dark Magician though thank you :D

hey guys, i too have sad obsession with yu-gi-oh... i started off with duelist kingdom and got right into the card game...

im only 21 but i have a sweet ass job as a bartender of a prestuige club (crock of shit really) which has made me a fair bit of money and fueled my collection of the cards...

I have two major decks which consist of Spellcasters (Dark magician being my favourite card as well) and an elemental hero deck (because like you said luminox they just have the awesome something)... ive competed in a few tournaments and done pretty well but i'll let you know there are some hard bastards to beat out there...
 
Haven't played that in ages, I've got all 3 god cards, 2 of the demon cards, 3 blue eyes white dragons, 3 red eyes black dragons, 1 blue eyes shinning dragon, 1 red eyes darkness dragon, 1 blue eyes ulitimate dragon, 1 black skull dragon, all 3 pieces of gate guardian and gate guardian itself, all 5 pieces of exoida and loads of others

Deveric: Details, details !!!! I have a great affinity for Dragon decks, masochist that I am ! Even though (in my humble opinion) they're probably the hardset type of deck to use...I use a direct damage/deck destruction deck...

Like...

Gravity Bind + Fire Princess + whatever that mermaid is that heals 800LP every turn (both ladies equipped with Hearts Of Clear Water) + Solemn Wishes....you get the picture !

If I had them, though, I'd use the Elemental Heroes, or...

THE CRYSTAL BEASTS !!!! Can't believe I forgot THEM ! My sister's favorite cards...them and the Red-Eyes Black Dragon (yeah, she's kinda gothic so the freaky-deaky big black dragon is just her thing !;))
 
Maybe I should start a poll to vote for our favorite card (or group of cards that belong together)...like Heroes, Cyber Dragons, Exodia, etc...
 
I use eBay which is awesome cause you get the cards that i want at half the price you would usually pay and i only really get what i want for a couple of decks...
i have a fair few randoms being a bit of a collector...
Im not rich mate, im a student who has an awesome casual job were as most of my mates are making about $14 and hour cause i work for rich old people i end with about $28 or something an hour which is sweet and im bar manager so im rosted on about 35 to 40 hours a week so its a pretty sweet deal... (this is the first time i haven't been in debt in ages so im living it up) lol

I've made a dragon deck before but i didn't enjoy it that much it was pretty hard to use... there is this elemental hero called Stratos who is f'in awesome... and ive got all the fusion cards so practically every monster fuses with another which gets extra monsters on the field... its a fun deck to play, got a tournament on friday that im going to first since i got the elemental heroes so ill have to see how i go with them... later guys!

Just kidding ! But let us know (or at least me !) how you went ! And your impressions...everything ! Like if there are any new tendencies in strategy (eg. a few years ago Fusions were all the rage but now nobody really uses them anymore), what place you finished...

I wish i was rich but i'm not, just a damn good duelist, well was, haven't played in ages so i'm a bit out of the loop.

I dueled this guy and bet my 5 pieces of exoida for all 3 of his god cards and beat him in 14 turns.

The blues shinning dragon and all the pieces of Gate Guardian i found a car boot sale, i'm guessing so guys dad cleared out his room and didn't know what he'd got, as for the rest i just got lucky with buying booster packs.

Red Eyes Black Dragon is my fav card aswell, hence why i have 3 red eyes baby dragons, 3 red eyes black dragons and 3 red eyes darkness dragon in my deck no matter who i'm dueling

Alright so i've been i've fought and i almost conquered.... I came second which i was very happy with cause i only really got to the finals by a fluke...
Best Card ever is Elemental Hero Stratos... he saved my ass about 20 times in the tourney.
So i won one of those tin things and got a cyber dragon which is pretty good... the winner got the other two tins so its alright for a $8 entrance fee...

PS: I understand there are some new Elemental Heroes ? I don't know Stratos, what is he ??? I recently saw an "Elemental Hero Ocean" and I was like "Whaaat...?". So there are new members in the family ? Cool, cool ...:)
 
My ex-bf loved the show so much... he used to tivo it... but he had to fast foward through the opening credits because at the beginning when they say Yu - Gi - Oh it actually hurt his dogs ears...
 
I've never gotten the chance to play competitively. Probably because i'd loose like first round.
