iTunes v. 8.2.1 won't let me burn my purchased music to cd.

There's no later version available and I'm not reverting to an older one.

When are the 'update-update-update' people at Apple going to send a fix for this?

I sent them an email. Lot of good that'll do.

Does anyone have any info?

Thanks

It seems one of the versions of iTunes I had wouldn't let me do that, either. And then, with the next update, it worked fine. Sorry that's not much help. :(

Yeah it's kinda bullshit. I had that problem on a much earlier version of iTunes and it pissed me off.

I'm a bit surprised though seeing as how iTunes is now DRM free.

Maybe the music you have was before iTunes is DRM and in order to burn the CD you have to upgrade your iTunes songs to DRM free which is like 20 cents each song or so.

Maybe you should go to the apple forums and post it there. They are actually very helpful and quick. And there might be others who are having the same problems.

You know I've never been regretted as much as upgrading ITUNE from 7 version. It just too buggy;Album art is not working properly and I got error messages whenever I exit. Bear in mind that this is happening in XP.

Thanks guys.

I've been to the iTunes forum and there are lots of people having issues with burning cds now.

No one seems to have found a solution that fixes it.

I'm just not going to buy anymore songs/videos or anything from them unless the next update fixes this.

I've burned every purchased song to a cd once since I got iTunes three years ago.

This 'problem' just started with the last update. It's like everyone else on the iTunes forum is saying, it'll start to burn a cd and then just quit. No explanation, nothing.

I would recommend sending an email to apple and calling them to tell them this.

Not only to complain but to state "Until this problem is fixed I will no longer be purchasing anything on iTunes"

Keep in mind that iTunes 8 is coming out soon. Maybe they are working on a fix. Although I would have thought that an 8. something would do the fix and not a new version.

Update

iTunes v. 9 has fixed this problem

Good to know. I had a feeling they would.

Especially with the "sharing libraries." That is pretty amazing.

I don't see "families" using it though. More like roomates and friends and maybe partners.

^ yeah, right

who wants to listen to their parents' tunes?

okay, I know some of you do but not most

in my opinion/experience anyway

fuck it, nevermind

go ahead and post the 'disagreement' whoever has his finger on the 'post' button

Uhm. I actually said "I don't think families" would use it.

I said more like friends, partners, and roomates.

It's not so much that I wouldn't wanna hear my parents music. My dad at least likes the Eagles. But it's that I wouldn't want him seeing or hearing my music, movies, and that kind of stuff.

It's the opposite >.>
