  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

I've officially been betrayed...

I'm sorry to have you have go through that, Wanker90. I was in your position before many years ago. It was not healthy at all. I wished I had the advice of the JUBbers in this thread because it could have saved a whole deal of pain, loneliness and rejection. Take their advice because if you go down the path I did, you will be a big mess. I think you should just let go, eat ice cream and continue talking to us here at JUB.

I just want to say that this is part of growing up. You will realize that people don't act the way people should act -- even the ones you love can be just as equally unpredictable and hurtful. Yes it fucking sucks but if you will get better and stronger. You may fuck this one up but at least you learn a important lesson about relationship and friendship. The JUBbers here are right. Rather blunt but right.

Making new friends and connections is never easy but it is never impossible. Be yourself and put yourself out there. There has to be something you like doing. Join a club. Or join a club that you will never thought of joining. You will end up learning new skills and making new friends. I would have never made some amazing friends here if I thought that is it is pointless to post because I am not a good poster.

Making the first step is hard but you are your own pillar of strength. No one here can do it for you.

I'm curious about, but haven't seen mention of, your future.
How long should your roommate put his life on hold for you?
Will you be mentaly/emotionaly/socialy stable by the end of college?
Will he need to plan his career around your needs? Or will you work together, carpool, and never have to be seperated?
Will the two of you reach middle age, you still clinging to him like velcro?

He's leaving..........that's that! No matter what he may have promissed, he's going on with his life. He's not leaving you behind, you're choosing not to go along. You can't expect him, or anyone, to put thier lives on hold because of your psycosis. The longer you wait to get help, the more you're gonna' need help with.
Eventually you'll end up a little old man, all alone, huddled in a little appartment (with a shitload of cats), saying....IF IF IF IF
