I think he is the best artist (music) at the moment.
All his songs are so catchy.

anyone agree?

well,
i saw his dvd live performance. more than 10 songs i think.
Exellente compare to other artists.

When they first played Blunt, I thought he was great. Bit, after 6 months of hearing him on every station at all hours of the day and night, and not getting any relief when I turned on the telly, I thought "Enough is enough!" Familiarity does breed contempt!

I find him to be a gifted, sensitive singer/songwriter whose ironic, bittersweet lyrics speak to a level of my soul that in turn resonates in
response with the purest form of unconditional love and truth that I've ever felt.

Not buying it ?

Yeah, that was total :bs:

He's just OK. A victim of being WAY overplayed on radio, even did the 'Oprah thing' which is really the kiss of death these days...

Plus, his new CD is tanking BIG time...

No, I think Alicia keys is the Best Artist in Music Right Now, James is just this little annoying weasel of a person

I like some of his stuff... he has a unique style that isn't for everyone - which I guess isn't necessarily a bad thing. I haven't heard anything from his new album yet...

I think he has talent but I don't know who he's taking his direction from, if it's his own judgement or the record label's but he needs to stop and try something new. His music is just too soft and mellow to actually allow him to keep moving forward.

I've seen him in concert and he can do a pretty good job at playing with a band and can rock out when he wants to. He needs to expand his fan base to include an older and broader crowd. A majority of his concert goers were with their parents..

The other thing that hurts him is that a majority of his music is not radio playable. While that isn't always a bad thing I think he's limiting himself in this case. If he can expand his song writing to be a bit darker, bolder and more honest I think he can go somewhere. There's too much of this lovey-dovey music out there. He needs to distinguish himself. Use that great voice for something that will draw in the masses.

Hi Telstra -

Just wanted to let you know I moved your thread to the Music Forum.

Thanks! :)

Got to love Deadringers for making a point when your point is to mock something or someone. The Weird Al parody is pretty funny as well.

He has an anoying voice, with anoying songs that get way too much play time and sounds overly posh and looks like Chris Martin from Colplay and I hate Chris Martin and Coldplay . Seriously who names their child Apple? O_o.

Going off in a rant there. But if you want more James Blunt just listen to James Morrison, a practicle carbon copy.

I like James Blunt a lot. His second cd All the Lost Souls just came out in September. I think I like it better than the first one.
