I guess I should have said when he was younger.^ I thought that's what his doctors were doing.
Back I college for one semester I roomed with a guy with a gf that always had a migraine attack at the most convenient time. Her headache would miraculously go away when she got what she wanted. I always thought to myself is this guy really this naive? Well, when the semester was coming to an end he finally put his foot down and broke up with her. I always felt sorry for her next poor bastard. His headache in the video was psychosomatic (or staged by the producers). It miraculously disappeared the instant his wife opened the door and stepped inside with the bagful of food. And his little quip about saving room for dessert made me laugh. I seriously doubt he would have had to save room.
My guess is that the show is all about ratings and advertising revenue and not peoples' lives. I stopped watching TLC when it became sensational 'reality'. It's like people on highways slowing down and rubbernecking when they pass a car accident.
Can you blame them? People will slow down on the highway to take a good look at the accident regardless of if it affected traffic or not. Sensational tv sells.
Any idea how much they paid these people to parade their lives for everyone to see? From what I have read, mobidly obese people tend yo isolate themselves from the world.
