You know I'm never gonna say Lynne Spears should be mother of the year but all this crap about her being a "bad mom" because of this makes me roll my eyes. If your 16 year old daughter wants to have sex she's gonna and any unwanted consequences are no one's fault but her own. 16 year olds aren't idiots with no concept of consequences. She made a stupid decision and the sad fact is the vast majority of American children are sexually active by the time they're in middle school. Instead of stoning Ms. Spears how bout we admit that children are responsible for their own actions and it was Jamie Lynne's own stupid decision. Now I'm not gonna run around saying abstinence is the only way but teenagers should not be having sex unless they're really ready to raise a kid because it (not to mention sexual transmited diseases) is a very real and possible consequence and if we as a society told that to our kids instead of trying to convince them that it's against god and amoral for no apparent reason the teen pregnancy rates would drop.

The mother allowed a fifteen year old girl to move in with a nineteen year old man. She knew they were living together and she allowed it....

That's extremely bad parenting.

I'm not saying that it's good parenting but who are we kidding if we try and pretend that if they weren't living together than they wouldn't be having sex.

Wooow. I'm in a complete state of shock. Britney's little sister Jamie Lynn Spears is PREGNANT. She confirmed the news in an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine.. Wow, wow, wow..

What a family, to say the least. Jamie had (or still has) a promising career as an actress on Zoey 101 in Nickelodeon. The baby's father is her boyfriend of 2 years Casey. Aaaand.. Britney didn't know, until the magazine came out.

WOW.. I'm super shocked. The girl is 16! I mean, stuff like this happens everyday and I'm glad that she decided to keep the baby at least. But to announce it this way! I guess there is no way for the Spears family to do things that through the media.

X17 actually broke the news to Britney today, and TMZ says she is 'frantic'. Check the news reports EVERYWHERE..

Well, maybe this is a blessing in disguise, a chance to bring the whole Spears family together.. Keep your head up JL!!

Lynne Spears's book about raising her famous daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn has been put on hold, the publisher confirms to PEOPLE.

"The book is delayed indefinitely. It's delayed, not cancelled," says a spokeswoman for Thomas Nelson, which publishes inspirational books and Bibles.

It had been scheduled for a spring 2008 release and was put on hold last week, says the rep. On Tuesday, news hit that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn is pregnant with her boyfriend's child.

Publishers' Weekly described the book as "Lynne Spears's personal story of raising high-profile children while coming from a low-profile Louisiana community."

The publisher declined to comment on whether the focus of the book would change in light of the pregnancy announcement.

"We are standing behind Lynn at this time and understand that she needs time with her family – we support that," says the spokeswoman.
 
people act like she's the 1st 16y/o girl to have sex. at least we haven't heard stories of her spreadin it around Hollywood like so many others. while it's kinda sad the predicament she's in, why does that automatically make her a slut/skank/whore?

Interesting how this will unfold maybe they'll make a reality show out of it. Or maybe they'll exploit it like Anna Nicole's daughter, but we know who the daddy is... so, maybe that won't work.
 
White trash, much? It's crazy that her mother actually sold the story with an interview to a tabloid. I guess she needed some money after Britney cut her off financially.

No wonder this family is so messed up. A dumb stage mom and a drunk can't possibly make good parents.
 
I may have an off topic question, but where does Jamie-Lynn live? Is is possible no charges will be pressed against her boyfriend, because of the legal age limit in Louisiana? I believe she lives with her mom or close to her mom in Louisiana, when she is not filming in California. (Jamie-Lynn noted that the baby will be raised in Louisiana)

A couple of things...

First, I think her boyfriend/baby daddy or whatever is hot as hell... I'd let him hit it :-)

Secondly, as depressing as it sounds in my head, this really does happen everyday. It is now up to her to turn this negative situation into a positive one. But with the media, I doubt that will happen. She says she is going to keep and raise the baby in Louisiana? Hopefully the press will stay away from her if she stays out of troble and keeps a low profile. And lastly, I wonder if JL and Hottie McHotterson are gonna get hitched? Ya'll reckon?!
