I want to make a meet-up for online fans! I'll be at the arena with a bunch of Discipline posters and in a suit jacket. It'll be hard to miss me, but I'll keep you guys updated as the date gets closer. 9 DAYS!!

You have to wait for the dates to be announced. She's planning on going to Europe, Asia, and Australia, but nothing has been confirmed as yet.

Per Gil, her choreographer, yes she will be heading to the UK. Last time she was there (can you believe it's been 10 yrs?) she played Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, and London. So I'm sure she'll be there. I was the Nynex Arena and Telewest Arena shows -- I just forget which cities it was, I remember the venues, though

You went to Newcastle and Manchester. I was in Birmingham all summer when Janet was touring in Europe and I missed all the UK dates. Lucky you!

I'm not sure if these three working together again is the wisest choice to make. She really needs to update her music not going back in time. People got tired of the same Janet over and over and now she's paying the price of her lack of reinvention.

Seriously? She did try updating her sound with Jermaine Durpi producing her and her last album was a step towards stuff she hasn't really done.

Except for "Feedback", the rest of the album sounds a lot as her regular stuff. I always felt that "Discipline" was a better sequel to "20 Y.O", but a far distant brother of her masterpiece "The velvet rope".

None of her albums sound the same. The standard she set in music, lyrics, dance and sales with Control, Rhythm Nation, and Janet are hard to top. People need to be more realistic with expectations. Nothing lasts forever...the music does change.

Breaking News: Tonight's Montreal show cancelled
Tonight's show of the Rock Witchu Tour in Montreal has been suddenly cancelled, only minutes before the show was scheduled to begin.

Ticket holders were already filing into the arena when the announcement was made. No official word about the reason for the cancellation has been made yet.

Unconfirmed reports by fans at the Bell Centre say that Janet was rushed from the arena early this evening in an ambulance. Additional confirmation on those reports are pending.

No announcements have been made about whether tonight's concert will be rescheduled.

A concert in Detroit scheduled for this past Saturday was postponed only one day prior due to what was announced as "production constraints." That show has been rescheduled for October 28.

Janet performed a concert on Sunday night in Toronto with no problems.


UPDATE: The Montreal Gazzette is now reporting that the show has been postponed "due to illness" and will be rescheduled for a date that is yet to be announced. Tickets for tonight's show will be honored at the new rescheduled date. Those unable to attend the new date will be able to receive full refunds.

Dates in Montreal, Boston, Detroit, and Philadelphia are being postponed and rescheduled.

An insider says about Janet's album that the head of Island Def Jam, "L.A. Reid had wanted to make changes to the album, make it fresher with some newer artists added in, but Janet said no - and Jermaine backed her up. He looks silly right now."


I personally enjoy the album even though It's not anything special.. First off, the booklet? The cover and pictures inside have nothing to do with the albums content. It looks like a photo shoot from Italian Vogue. I love the pictures but hello??? The interlude right before Rock With U is HILARIOUS. My friends and I laugh every time. "Every time i turn around theres anotha guy tryin to holla at me".Janet is obviously trying to be something shes not, 20!

She needs to embrace her age!! She can still be sexy and sing about sex but stop trying so hard to be 20 years old!

The song titles are misspelled it drives me crazy. "Rock Wit u" "Can't B Good" "2Nite" and in the booklet she dedicates the album to her fans and its misspelled UGH.

The Feedback video was a dissapointment, the song is so fast moving and fresh and the video has these guys jumping off planets in slow motion. UGH theres so many things that went wrong. This is coming from someone that enjoyed the actual album!!


P.S. Also.. its hilarious because she sounds just like Michael. I know she can't help that. "I can't believe i let this happen to me, it always ends up not good" ROFL I thought it was Michael!

^^ Oh yes, on "Can't B Good", she sounds like Michael and the song reminds you of "I Can't Help It" from Off The Wall. It's my fave song from her album and her current single. But compare the 2 songs!

Sure enough, Fort Lauderdale is postponed until further notice.

So...Detroit is now OCT 28, Atlanta is OCT 19, and the other dates Montreal, Philadelphia, Boston, and Greensboro, Fort Lauderdale are still pending.

I'm very worried and concerned about Janet right now.

The way people are describing her new tour to me it sounds as if Jan truly maybe exhausted. The show is over two hours long, multiple costume changes, and difficult choreography. Janet's getting older now and she can't work as hard as she used to back in her heyday. And even when she was younger, she was still having these spells of exhaustion.

I just hope she gets some rest and feels better.

The touring life is grueling, Janet's said it herself many times and it's true (I've done it). She was ready to head out in Greensboro last night until their doctors told her no, she needs to rest some more. I do feel for her fans who spent money to see her--I had to cxl my flights to ATL and FL for the shows also and luckily I was staying with friends, otherwise I'd be out money on the hotel rooms too. I wish her well and hope she regains her strength to do the show but there are parts of it that can just be cut out of the show--which I'm sure she'll do. First thing is she won't be kissing those random strangers during the Discipline segment

I'm worried and wish her well ASAP also. I was looking forward to flying down to ATL and Ft. Lauderdale, but show postponements aren't anything new for her, she gets sick on every tour. For ATL, I'll be flying in for the show and then leaving the next morning.
