I know that is old news, but only now I back reading comics... and I was reading x-men, I liked emma frost, her personality give a interest addition to the x-men, but I can't help but miss jean, even thougth that I liked her pretty much because of the animated series.

Essencially, for how long she will/should stay dead??? What do you think of her lackness in the comics?
 
Indeed she is "dead."
It is painfully clear that she will come back.
I think Marvel has go so far as to say that both her and Rachel "share" the Phoenix Force and that only one of them can be alive at a time. (Don't bother trying to have it make sense continuity wise.)

I'd rather have Jean around, but I can make due for now.
I have to right.
 
well if Endsong was the first part, Warsong is the middle maybe the next song that we will heard will be her comeback :D

I was thinking that I learned that in history the arts always changed to something that was somehow oposite to the early generation, I was thinking that the change from Jean to Emma, would represent a change of what the comics are today, they aren't longer nice and good-doers girls they are bitches :badgrin:

I also hope that the cuckoos don't die :(
 
I love Jean, but I like her to make more human choices, not the choices of a completely self-actualized person.

We know she's nearly all-powerful and that she'll never lose, so let's make her her own worse enemy, right? As she was in New X-Men, she was way to awesome, so what's the point?

I don't think she'll come back any time within the next two years at least and I can't think of a way to bring her back. She's not dead, she's just departed and away in some higher plane.

I <3 Emma. I also loved the Cuckoos, but with this attrocious Warsong story...I dunno if they'll ever be able to be repaired as good characters.
 
I haven't read Warsong yet.
I'm thinking about switching to graphic novel format.
Cheaper and easier.

Yes, I'll have to wait... but as it is I'm already behind...

P.S. I like Emma too.
The Cuckoos, well, time will tell.
I think I like them more now that there are only three left.

As in, like, Warsong sucks and the art's kind of second-rate. I'm thoroughly unimpressed and a bit disappointed in all of it.
 
plans are for her to make her return in issue 500 of uncanny.... I personally can't wait...Jean is one of the originals... you can't kill her... also there are plans to kill off someone in astonishing......any bets on who it is?....... the list of possibles are as follows...Beast, Emma,Colossus,Cyclops, or Shadowcat.....
 
I almost feel like it might be Beast or Cyclops.

Think about it:

Right now, none of the titles are really using Scott. They only have him there because he's co-headmaster. Only Astonishing uses him and since he can't access his powers without losing complete control of them, he'll be the 'human' on the superpower team and it doesn't seem like Scott is Hawkeye material.

Emma loves Scott, but I feel like she'd be able to deal with his death.

Plus, if Jean is returning, it makes Scott's death that much more interesting. Will Jean and Emma become co-headmistresses? Will Jean finally start a relationship with Logan/James?

I only say Beast because I feel like he's been written into a corner. It's clear that behaviorally he's devolving, and though they came up with a solution, he's also just a fighter with no means of protection against greater powers. Beats can only dodge lasers if he's lucky for so long. Ideally, Colossus is the same muscle but his skin protects him. So in terms of muscle, Beast is too much of a liability.

So that's what I think if someone's going to die on the Breakworld. Why would the bring Colossus back and just kill him? Kitty is never going to die. Emma's been made too important. And Logan's is too much in everything to be killed off.
 
Awww,ive been waiting so long for Betsy and Hank to get together (Gawd i sound like a girl) but i agree luminum ,thats not gonna happen now with Psylocke off in Exiles and Beast (Clearly) gonna be the one to die.

Oh and the thing about jean,will that bitch ever stay in the ground lol,she was getting so pissy by the end last time she was annoying me,but there is always room for phoenix,Claremont made her one of my all time faves in comics

Well, without any spoilers, it's like this:

At the conclusion of Phoenix Endsong, the phoenix force comes into contact with the 'funny little girls' the Stepford Cuckoos and blazes in the eyse of one of them.

But whoa re The Stepford Cuckoos? Where do they come from? What is their connection with the Weapon X project? Clearly in New X-Men, Esme identifies a Weapon X agent by his code name and in the end of New X-Men's alternate future, the remaining Stepford Cuckoos are identified as Weapon XIII.

So who are they? What fallout is there from Emma's encounter with the phoenix force? And what is it doing with the Cuckoos?

That's basically all the stuff people wanted to know going into this.

I haven't read the latest issue (4) but so far as they showed in the 3rd, I think it'll be short lived and she doesn't have the ability to be the Phoenix.
 
No, while I don't LOVE the art of Endsong, it's incomparably better to the new art. The new artist is one of those whose work initially looks decent, but you can tell that drawing a comic book is too much of a strain on him because his artwork starts getting lose and sloppy.

I'm also compeltely disappointed with Greg Pak. Endsong was written so well, I don't know how he managed to mess up Warsong.

I just got the 4th issue and I'll only buy the 5th and final to see how it all ends. It's total crap and I'm more convinced than ever.
 
i really wish jean would come back, if only because i think scott goest best with jean than emma..... for emma, i like her attitude, especially how she sometime rips into people.... but she does seem like too much of a bitch sometimes...
