  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Jeans?

Never tried them. Do they have a pretty slim fitting jean? I like my skinny jeans ;)

They do, but I couldn't try it on (I couldn't pull them up past my calves).

They have tons of cuts and tons of weird sizes. I take 33-31, which they have.

Oh okay. I could probably wear them. I wear a 27/30. But I normally have to cuff my jeans. I am only 5'6" after all lol.
I might just have to check them out. Where do you guy them?

I'm 5'7".

I bought them at West Edmonton Mall, at the G-star Raw store. They sell them at other stores as well I think, but I bought them directly from them.

Hmm... I am sure they sell them somewhere in Seattle. I'll just have to do some searching haha

Fixed that for ya.

I can not believe you have never worn jeans.Buy a pair of raw 501s and do the bathtub thing. If you need help,I can give you exact directions.Don't blame me if you find you might want to do it again after you do the "ritual"
NOTHING feels better than 501s,NOTHING!

Uhhhh.... NOOOO!!! 511's are SO MUCH BETTER!! They are the skinny fit jean. 501s are like... lame jeans. Don't wear 501s. Wear 511s.

Yes. Jeans are essential. A good pair of jeans is absolutely versatile. Find the ones that suit you.

I never wore jeans until I was about 30.

Nowadays that's about all I ever wear.

I pretty much always buy them at thrift shops and such, and the quality "issues" have been rare. They're already broken in and comfortable as well, by the time they show up at the resale shop.

But I look for the thrift shop which actually measures and marks them. It can burn up a lot of time, otherwise, trying to figure out which unmarked jeans on a huge rack of jeans, will fitt properly.

Yes I agree.
Though I really love the 511's they don't fit and wear like most think of skinny jeans.
I bought a pair a couple years ago when they were still sort of rare after trying on a some 514's.
Buying a pair of 501's last spring I find them awkward now, I don't think the new ones are made like they used to they don't fit good--- like a big baggy. Or am I just so use to the 511's, they are great and not like Levi's true skinny jean which is what people will think of when they think skinny jean and thats the 510, that one isn't for me.

I like the 510's, but for a first time jean wearer I didn't think I could make that recommendation without potentially freaking him own. 510's are really slim fitting. The 511's are a nice medium I think. Slim leg, but not at all skin tight (although I do have and love some skin tight jeans).
But relative to like a 501, 511's are skinny jeans lol.

Believe me; this guy is the expert on jeans!

He can spot the make and model of what a man is wearing from 50 yards away! (I've been with him when he's done it!)

I don't know how old you are, and what your body type is. 501's are button-fly, traditional fit jeans that pretty much hug the body, but are not 'skinny' jeans. 505's are the same thing, but with a zipper fly. 550's are the 'loose' fit, which is what I prefer.

I'd love to be able to afford some of the so called designer jeans like Diesel, but I'll just keep looking at the hot models that wear them.

Levies 511. Perfect pair of jeans.

Or if you have a ton of money, head to the nearest Diesel. I love their jeans.

I wear Diesel jeans almost exclusively. Nothing is better. However , $200 is ridiculous for a pair of Jeans. I always buy mine at either a Diesel store in an outlet mall or at a Nordstrum Rack. Usually $70 to $100. I bought a pair on eBay once but they turned out to be counterfit. Hard to find online.

Button fly seams to also be sexier than a zipper. At the clubs I go to all the sexiest bartenders seem to wear Diesel Jeans. The best strippers usually wear either Diesel or aussiebum underwear.

I'm partial to Levis 527 and 529, but I think 529s have been discontinued.

If you want to go designer, you can't go wrong with Rock&Republics. Most designer jeans are already cut to make your ass look hot and you don't have to sit in a bathtub to get them to fit well, but they are expensive as hell. If you have a good friend who works as Saks or Bloomingdales, hit them up for their employee discount.

I mostly wear Levi's 514 (slim, straight). I just got a pair of Lucky Jeans (slim, bootcut) that fit my ass a lot better, but I'm still partial to Levi's.

Sounds like you're in for a trying time.

Not one type of jean is for everybody. Recommend you try a whole bunch out before you commit to buy a pair.

One of the regrettable experiences in life, buying a pair of jeans that don't fit/look right on you.

Any details you can give us about your body type might help us narrow something down for you.

Levi silver tabs i used to find really improved the look of your butt. But i gained too muck weight to wear them really and well now they don't even make the same ones anymore so i just wear levi 501s.
