I have watched decades of WH press secretaries and I have never witnessed anyone as professional and savvy as Jen Psaki.

She brushed off the comparison with Peppermint Patty from Peanuts by making it clear she (and I) love Peppermint Patty...but she is the smartest and most unequivocal PS that I have watched all the way back to the 70's.

I would go straight for her.

I'll take your word for it. That said, she's still called on to lie and "back track" repeatedly. Not as much as her immediate predecessor, Ms. Conway, did for her garrulous grifter of a boss, but lie she does. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn's description of the communications style of his Soviet oppressors comes to mind:

'We know they are lying, they know they are lying, they know we know they are lying, but they keep on lying . . . '

During the Trump years I sometimes imagined how much fun it would be to be given the position of press secretary and midway through a press conference say, "Everything I've been telling you today and much of what I have been telling you these last months is a complete fabrication. I'm working for a pathological liar, and everyone around him knows it."

What specifically is she lying about?

The Press Secretary position has evolved into something between a lion-tamer for the national press and a propagandist-in-chief. Some do the job better than others.

Psaki is always prepared and well-briefed. She also has a good technique of needling reporters on their "facts" when they ask hostile questions. Her interactions with Pete Doucey from Fox News are like watching a teacher calling out a student who didn't do their reading assignment.

Compare and contrast with three of the four press secretaries from the Trump Administration:

Here's another one from today.

She is refreshing and believable and sane and oozes integrity.

I am a fan.

^LOL! Pete Doocy is like Wile E. Coyote vs. Jen Psaki's Road Runner. Well, apologies to Wile E. He's MUCH smarter than Doushy.

For your continued enjoyment:

Meanwhile, over on Earth 2 they really hate Jen Psaki:

It is reported today - and Pisaki was asked at her "brefing" - that her days at the podium are numbered. She is dealing for a position with (MS?)NBC.

So typical of government figures.

You mean like Sean Spicer, Sarah Sanders, Stephanie Grisham, Kayleigh McEnany?

Forgot a few:
George Stephanopoulos
Dana Perino
Robert Gibbs
Jay Carney
Josh Earnest

Or to put it another way, pretty much all of them since George Stephanopoulos?

Actually Psaki announced last year that she would be leaving the White House last year.

She has stayed on longer than she originally intended.
