Does anyone watch? I was really enjoying it until the season finale tonight. Yeah, I knew someone major was supposed to die, but given that I only really like Jake, his father, Hawkins, and Stanley, I was really disappointed that it was the dad that bought it.

I stopped watching it after that and never did see the very end. He was actually an interesting character. No point in watching next season.:(

From what I read, there may not be a next season.

Yeah, that sucked. I liked his character too. I cried as much as Jake did. But then it just reminded me of when my Dad died too.

You should have watched the end of the show! There has been a big turn of events regarding the war with New Bern.

I watched the 1st episode and really liked it and than saw a little of the episodes where they saw the missles from the town. But I never get the chance to watch T.V. much. What is the shows "secret"? what is happening in the destroyed cities and who did this?

From the episodes I've seen, no one really knows who was behind the attacks. Communications are still fairly screwed and there seems to be a lot of misinformation circulating between the towns that have been featured in the series.

Actually, Hawkins revealed who was responsible for the attacks.

who??????????????? this is like pulling teeth! LOL

Sorry. It was a combination of homegrown militia groups, foreign terrorists, and other malcontents who decided to band together to defeat a common enemy: the U.S. government.

Hawkins is a CIA agent (or is it FBI? I get so confused) sent to infiltrate the group. He ended up stealing the nuclear bomb meant for some place in middle America that I forget. Also, the bomb headed for NYC was intercepted.

Saw the pilot. Let me tell you all something. You cannot see the Rocky Mountains from any point inside the State of Kansas. When they pulled that trick, it was all over for me. I hate when my home state is misrepresented like that.

Probably a similar feeling the French have when they see a scene in an American film set in Paris and you can see the Eiffel Tower from ANYWHERE in the city...

But back to the topic - good first half of the season, disappointing 2nd half. It lost focus and became a bit stretched out. I'm also not gripped with the set-up for season 2.

Overall, the show was a real missed opportunity to do a realistic, dark, post-apocalyptic TV show.
