I wear pearls too...well, they're really beads and only when celebrating Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's day, and I even have red, white and blue ones for 4th of July. It's fun! I don't think his really compliment his outfit though, but whatever...

Oysters are among the essential house keeping workers of the ecosystem. They are not cute and cuddly, but they are not trash, either.

Pearl oysters are considered inedible, so the only reason to snatch them from their habitat and kill them is to harvest their mineral abnormalities.

For every bead in that picture, an ecosystem was disrupted and an animal was killed for no other reason than foolish human vanity.

Not cool.
