i'm not really sure on how to make a good introduction on this topic but,
Whenever i met a guy online (or on a hookup app etc.) and he wants to get to know me more, i just ask him to watch the stuff i post on youtube. most guys just blow me off when i do, but it actually reveals a lot about me.

I've been watching scary slasher movies since I was a little kid. because of that i have a very psycho/Warped imagination, but i have a way of expressing it with my videos i make for youtube. I made these with the sims 1 and the sims 2.

a lot of people on youtube like watching them because the videos reveal a lot about myself, because i always "self-insert" (meaning that I put myself as a character in all my videos)

The guy named "Joe" who appears in all of my videos is actually me.

Here's some of the videos I made. I have a lot more posted on youtube besides these. These videos reveal a lot about my life, and a lot about me.
please share your thoughts on them and tell me what you think :)
also, please give me a like on facebook too :) it'd be very appreciated :D

The Mask (2010)
I made this a few years ago out of anger because I was being bullied in school. It's not nearly as good as my new stuff but it's pretty decent.

Knifed (2011)
I made this back in year 2011 when I saw the new "SCRE4M" movie! I've been obsessed with it every since ;) and this movie actually became really popular on youtube. I even made 7 more squeals to it over the years :)
I have the other squeals to this in a playlist here: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLW67q6pOuyvQipBexqc7HcexDEBK-QESw
"Knifed 8" was the last one made in October of 2013.

Scare (2013)
This movie was also inspired by Scream but it was originally a silent film, but i got lazy and didn't feel like looking for voice actors so i done all the voice acting by myself... sadly, this movie actually reveals the most about my life though :/

Fresh Apple Massacre (2014)
This is one of my most recent horror films inspired by "The Texas Chainsaw 3D" it's pretty graphic :P but it does touch up on some personal issues I was going through.

Trick or Treat (2005)
This is actually my FIRST EVER horror/slasher video I made. I made this with the sims 1 because i didn't have the sims 2 yet, and it's based off a horror story I wrote a long time ago. its been edited quite a bit over the years, but the footage and story-line are still exactly the same ;)

And that's some of them. I have A LOT more posted on youtube. they take longer to make now because I always try to add more detail.
I don't really expect anyone to watch all of them but they definitely do reveal a lot about me, just keep a sharp eye out for the facts ;)
Analyze away and share you're thoughts :) :) :)
and if anything stands out to you, let me know :)

P.S.
I'm planning on making my next film about Jason Voorhees since I'm officially obsessed with the Friday the 13th movies.

Hmmm

Interesting idea, but I'm not sure after that how certain I'd be that you weren't going to slice me into ribbons when I went for the hookup... ;)

So I'm intrigued - how many guys do still want to proceed with a meeting up after seeing the vids?

You think these videos scare people away? that does seem kinda true, but it's ridiculous if it does. If you watched all the videos, it's pretty clear that I'm not the one doing the killing in any of them
the character guy referred to as Joe is me. I'm in every single one of the stories.

Hi, Joe.

It's an interesting hobby and venue for self-actualization. It's a bit hard to analyze because it is such a deliberate presentation of a created persona, and to complicate things, is further colored by the need to somewhat parallel the arc of story lines typical of slasher films. The viewer is left to ask himself "how much of this is revelatory of the creator and how much is merely manipulation of the viewer but not revelatory?"

The question of course is to ask yourself honestly what is significance of the medium of violence you have chosen to express? Is it a fanciful imagining that allows you to shout "BOO!" to the world and enjoy your monster role-play, or are you expressing true inner conflict and attempting to vent inner anger?

Likewise, compare your reaction to Sims violence with real-world violence? How do you feel when a friend's sister is raped, a neighbor's husband killed, or a stranger robbed?

Lastly, how much do you rely on this proxy experience to satisfy your need for social interaction? How would you rate your social skills on a scale of 1-100?

I did skip through various scenes of one of them. It occurred to me that they potentially provide a placating effect on the creator by allowing total control of the characters, dialogues, and plot, whereas real life is hopelessly uncontrollable in regard to others. Do you thing the aspect of control, including the ability to shed tears as a character, is somehow appealing?

I'm not sure the diversion to video in hookups is an avoidance of socialization, a pretext that excuses you from taking responsibility for meaningful interaction, or just an internet laziness that has crept into your mien without you realizing its impact on the other party. In any event, it is a recipe, intentionally or subconsciously, for alienation in most cases.

thank you for the vivid description (to be honest i had to use google definations to understand everything you typed)
but before I get into detail and reply to everything you said, i just want to know.
which videos have you seen?
i read that you skimmed through some parts of each video, and yeah you'll see the gore and violence in them, but there's actually a story behind all of it. some of it is true and based off reality, but a lot of it is obviously fake (could have happened yes, but obviously didn't) to be honest, i never known anyone who died by getting murdered. i've seen it on the news and it dosen't really effect me that much.
yeah, i feel remorse for the victim, and yes, i would never want it to happen to anyone. but there's a huge difference between wanting someone to die in an animated video than wanting them to die in real life.

could you name a few examples from the videos too about everything you mentioned in your first post? like stuff that stood out to you besides the death scenes. :)
Start with the 2011 film "Knifed" it's shorter compared to the newer films, but it dives deep into my past and internal feelings about certain things. try to look past the death scenes though.
this is getting more interesting than i thought it would :)

I watched various scenes of Scare since you said it revealed the most about you. Admittedly, I dislike the genre and doubly so the CGI medium, so it was hard for me to watch extended scenes. I didn't just see violence, but repeated dialogues, bad Southern accents and dental work, and melodramatic tears.

Well, i understand now. It's more of something you have to be interested in to understand everything that goes down in it, hence the fact you don't like horror movies. and yeah, there's a lot "melodramatic" stuff in my videos, but blame the sims 2 for that :P it's a very cartoony game.

After scanning through your posts, and watching the caped video in your other thread, you are much more personable that I would otherwise have guessed from seeing videos that obviously took much time to create. I'd infer that you may have the creative talents required to write or direct commercially.

wow, you've analyzed this WAYY more than I thought you would :) but I really don't do any of this for money at all. It's just a hobby i've been doing since elementary school, and it's all nonprofit, but I know that you most likely already knew that.

but thanks :) you did analyze it quite a bit. not exactly the way i was expecting, but you did good in a different way :)
(not sure if i worded that right)

*BUT one more thing :)
if you ever get bored and have time on your hands, give "Scare" another watch if you feel like it and try to absorb the storyline :) you might see it in a completely different way. but if horror isn't your preferred genre then it'll just breeze right past you. but it is what it is :)

To be clear, I do enjoy horror as a genre, and always have, but have always disliked the subgenre of slasher.

I actually always thought horror and slasher were the same, but i guess there is a difference now that you mention it.

I did watch about 25 minutes of Scare just now, at 3 a.m., but I dozed a bit. The plots are just so predictable. Still not clear how it is revealing anything about your life, other than the mention of Wisconsin.

You should revisit my questions in my first response instead of just asking more of me. What are your thoughts on the questions I posed?

well the real revelation of my personal life in the story really doesn't become clear until the ending/climax scene.
and for your other questions... :)

well i get what you're saying here. but i really thought it'd be easy for the viewer to pin-point out what is real and what isn't real.
there's a lot going on with the Joe character through out these videos. such as him being bullied
is that realistic? Yes
but all of his classmates being brutally slain by a masked killer? of course not (it could have happened but it's quite apparent that it didn't. due to the fact that I'd most likely be too traumatized/emotionally unstable to create videos like this after experiencing something that horrific.

The question of course is to ask yourself honestly what is significance of the medium of violence you have chosen to express? well, in the first paragraph your kinda telling the truth, i do enjoy the monster roleplay, but i wouldn't wish it on anyone else. as i said earlier, they're is a HUGE difference between wanting someone to die in real life and wanting someone to die in a video i made with the sims.

Lastly, how much do you rely on this proxy experience to satisfy your need for social interaction? How would you rate your social skills on a scale of 1-100?

my social skills is probably a 20 out of 100. i'm not always good at talking with people and i kinda rely on this 'proxy' more than i should to be honest with you.

I did skip through various scenes of one of them. It occurred to me that they potentially provide a placating effect on the creator by allowing total control of the characters, dialogues, and plot, whereas real life is hopelessly uncontrollable in regard to others. Do you thing the aspect of control, including the ability to shed tears as a character, is somehow appealing?

i really never thought of it that way, but i don't get satisfaction out of it. I just try to make the movie dramatic and entertaining so they're fun to watch.

I'm not sure the diversion to video in hookups is an avoidance of socialization, a pretext that excuses you from taking responsibility for meaningful interaction, or just an internet laziness that has crept into your mien without you realizing its impact on the other party.

All of those reasons are true, but the most real one is the "internet laziness" to be honest with you..

In any event, it is a recipe, intentionally or subconsciously, for alienation in most cases.

yeah. can't disagree with that lol

Since I've seen crazy brilliant sims 2 movies/music videos, so Im sorry to say that yours are average at best. But I always love and respect whoever spend time with the sims!! ..|
a hardcore simmer here (*8*)

My input would be..maybe for right now- use lots of different angle when 2 sims are in dialogue and don't rely at regular sims 2 natural animation when they talking to each other- because they're too smiley!! Even in tense conversation lol, sims are idiots
Use a lot of poser hacks- maybe keep a list of each interaction. I know it's a tedious job and takes a lot of production time, but if it's your hobby so what not? ^^
Oh yeah and you get lotsa effects from Adobe Aftereffects/ movie editing program to look even professional, Gluck ..|

too bad you're in sims 2, I thought guys are cuter in sims 3 ;)
he could be your mate in sims 3 :

and yeah, that guy is me. the Joe character in all the videos is me, but he looks different in everyone of them. and I'm actually making my next video, friday the 13th, with the sims 3.

This is what i'll look like:

RealandSims3JoeWinko.png

I have more behind the scenes images from it on my fanpage https://www.facebook.com/JoeWinkoFanpage I'm trying to get it posted by June 13th of this year because it's a friday :)

and yeah, Brent Corrigan is a gorgeous man but I can't take it up the ass at all so I don't think me and him would be a good match lol XD

^
Yeah ..| That's what I mean, more enjoyable.
I like when you make the girl pretty noisy with natural sims 2 talking animation and your character just stiff there sort of complementing her bubbly personality.
Did you voice over all your characters?

You and your self-sim is match with him (Brent) You guys r kute. What's the problem? You won't taking it in the aSS? I thought Brent is a ferocious bottom?

This is the best slasher sims3 movie I ever watched. I still think you better make movies from sims 2- since sims 2 has more shitload of poses/animations than sims 3..but this movie is an exception, it's so well done

I use to do the voice as all my characters but now adays i find voice actors to help me with them :)
and yeah, the default sims 2 animations are too bubbly to use, especially in a horror movie.

You really think me and Brent would make a cute couple in real life? :D
and I'm salivating already at the term "ferocious bottom" lol :}

^I've seen that video! :) it'd be cooler if it had voice overs though. but the special effects are great :)
