How 'bout "Frothy Santorum"? (!)

"Americans, I think right now, probably want a boring fixer," Walsh said. "We elected a sexy Messiah three years ago and look what he's done. I'd rather have a boring guy who can fix things. I actually think he'll pretty quickly understand and do what needs to be done."
I get the boring part, but I don't know what Willard has "fixed" in the last seven years. Also, I don't think very many sentient people have regarded Pres. Obama as "the sexy Messiah" - especially the ones that believe he is a Muslim. IMHO, the comment was just another Republicon cheap shot which requires no more than a Jr. high mentality... the typical tea-bagger.

Joe Walsh one more clown in circus of the GOP.

Joe Walsh has about as much cred as Newt Gingrich.

It's interesting he thinks the President of the United States is "sexy".

This gives his divorce an entirely new meaning. The deadbeat dad has eyes for Obama.

Fancies Barack!

Such a nice mentality to have... anybody but Obama basically...

Fortunately, the Republicans don't seem to remember anything about the 2004 election in which WE had an anybody but Bush mentality. That didn't work out so well for us because you don't win elections by just hating the guy in office. You HAVE to love the nominee. When is the last time an incumbent was defeated by a candidate who wasn't charismatic and didn't energize the electorate?

Ford doesn't count because he was designed as a placeholder anyway and voters couldn't never get past the pardon.

Clinton (who WE loved)
Reagan (who THEY loved)
Roosevelt (who EVERYBODY loved)

That's it.

Nixon two terms
Johnson decided not to run
Eisenhower two terms
Truman two terms
Roosevelt four terms
Coolidge chose not to run for a 2nd term
Harding went out in a cloud of scandal
Wilson two terms....

We'd have to go back beyond Woodrow Wilson to find a candidate who actually won on the "anybody but" vote.

You MIGHT make a case for Hoover but none of these guys is considered a Republican FDR.

Well I'd be saying some odd things too if I knew I was about to lose my 150K year job in Nov. These people act like being a congressman is a joke instead of a great honor.
