John Boehner: a big crybaby

Alright.

Boehner is an alcoholic, a tanning bed fanatic, has emotional problems, a failure in governing his small home district, a Republican who is controlled by the wealthiest Americans will now be the Speaker of the House.

Christ on a crutch...... America has nothing remaining. This pathetic sub-human has nothing to offer America and he's third in line. We're fucked.

Fuck you Republicans.

Oh my God.

I finally watched the interview.

This guy is really disturbed. I have to think that he won't be giving many interviews as Majority Leader.

John.

Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors.

Get some.

But he's a darling to groups like Focus On The Family and the Family Research Council. So he can be a big crybaby all he wants.

Imagine what people would have said if Nancy Pelosi cried in public. You can bet people would have easily dismissed her and looked at her as a weak female.

This is what irritates me everytime the Weeper of the House John Boner cry in front of the camera.

If he takes SSRIs, he's not going to get much. What the pharmaceuticals refer to as "sexual issues" mean that even if one's gun is loaded, pulling the trigger takes a really long time, if at all. :-({|=

I still think he's just a drunk. [-X

I think he meant "get some pills", not "get some ass".

John Boehner from the 8th District of Ohio.

Dayton, the district's largest city has an unemployment rate of 13.3%, higher than the national and state of Ohio average. It has over twice the national crime rate. 30.9% living in poverty. That's almost 1 in 3.

Dayton is not in the 8th Congressional District. Dayton is demographically a very liberal city. The 8th was Gerrymandered to exclude Dayton but take in the Republican countryside around it. (That big square of Montgomery County "protruding" into the 8th District is the city of Dayton).

Were the city of Dayton part of the Boehner's district, there would be no chance of him getting elected. Boehner gets elected year after year because his district has been engineered to insure this happens.

Another example of lack of pluralism at work, where people want to insure that "specific demographics" are stuck in one district and creates to "safe districts".

Another reason to do away with House districts and go to state-wide open voting.

The only good thing about those rigged districts is that it means the people in them tend to actually be represented more effectively, because a solid majority agree with the guy who got elected.
And that's not much.

Thanks for the correction and your comments.

Statewide is alright done with the Senate, and we see how much they "represent" their constituents. The point I was making is if there is going to be district then they should all be as close to pluralism as possible. This homogeneous gerrymandering is proof that all certain people want to do is ensure that a quota of a specific party and specific race is "represented".

Statewide would ensure that almost all the people elected would literally represent people with their views, without others being shanghaied into having their "representation".

Say there are 10 representatives. People vote; Democrats get 42%, Republicans get 33%, Libertarian gets 9%, Reform gets 7%, Green gets 7%, others the rest.

Round the results, and 4 Democrats, 3 Republicans, 1 Libertarian, 1 Reform, and 1 Green go to Congress. less than ten percent aren't well represented.

Under the current system, generally four times that are poorly represented.

Let's just agree the gerrymandering helps both parties in different states and call it a day. If you want to argue different semantics of a district in a particular state, you would have to look over the census data, compare it to when the district was (re)formed and what type of candidate (D, R or I) was in office in that district at the time of redistricting.

Gerrymandering helps the parties at the expense of hurting government and the people. Eventually it leads to stasis and the kind of dynastic grasp on seats that engenders arrogance and corruption.

It is a fundamental evil in democracy and should be made illegal.

How long do you think it will be before he starts blubbering?

Or put to a vote.

This would be fun: let the politicians set their boundaries. Let the people vote "We like it" or "We don't like it". If "We Don't" wins, the politicians who set the boundaries are out of office.
Start over.
