John McCain - One Brave Buck

Actually McCain advocated a larger force from the beginning and now he is between a rock and a hard spot, since the President is only talking 20,000

RR

theres a difference between starting a campaign with more troops and sending them in as an afterthought

thats entirely different strategically

They pretty much end up defaming themselves by their actions; they really don't need our assistance.

Thanks for playing, though; enjoy your year's supply of Rice-A-Roni...The San Francisco Treat!

It's official

McCain is now worse than Bush

I love the thread - McCain is a traitor

too funny - not really

that's not even something Keith O would say

Proof the board is just an excuse to defame any and all Repubs - gay style that is

After calling for a troop surge and getting his wish, now it seems that McCain is wanting even more troops:

For shame.

But he didn't get his wish -- he wanted more before this.
And he's being realistic -- to make any kind of difference, just 20,000 isn't going to cut it.
OTOH, we don't have enough to make a difference. Maybe if McCain proposed hiring 100,000 from various Muslim countries, we could accomplish something... in Baghdad.

I agree with Chance that this shows he's got some guts, hammering away on what he wanted in spite of the president. But it's pointless: as Mortimer Zuckerman of U.S. News wrote recently, we now hold a hand that can't win.
Now, let's all sing along:

"You got to know when to hold 'em,
know when to fold 'em!"
