As much as we can say it shouldn't matter and who cares...Cavallo's coming out deserves some attention since he is the only player to come out while still playing.

Football has been a notoriously homophobic sport because of the yobs out there in the bleachers and on the teams.

Do you think this will change the game and that other pro-league players will feel more comfortable about being homos?

My bet is that the next one will play the bisex card, but it will also help nudge things along, hopefully.

I gotta be me right?

I bet privately he gets more props. But maybe it will help another.

Oh, you meant Fußball....otherwise known as Soccer. He is cute.

Lovely looking chap, those ears

Good on him.

Figured the ears would be a draw.

I would hang on to them.

Considering that soccer is the gayest sport on the planet with all the humping, butt grabbing and pile-ons, it always amazed me how homophobic it is. Those who are genuinely homophobic will come around simply because of societal pressure. I think lots of athletes project this macho image that rejects anything that is not rigidly hetero, but inwardly they don't much care what others do.

I wouldn't kick him out of bed on a cold night.

Or any other night :bj:

I think that by and large it is the vocal minority of fans who are preventing more footballers/sportsmen coming out. I really don't think the majority of players care
