"Life" and work dictates how much posting i do. Having 4 days off for the MLK holiday I've been doing lots today as i get ready for the Erykah Badu concert tonight here in Miami.

Unfortunately i just learned from a friend i was going with, the concert has been cancelled. :cry:

Maybe 'll continue posting all day and night, LOL.
 
I know I'm beating a dead horse here.....(better than beating off a dead horse...or even a live horse for that matter..... sorry, lost my train of thought for a moment..) But I still wish there were some way to bring back the chat room, especially the video chat room. That would bring people here more often. Old members might log on regularly, and new members might come here because of that feature.
Thought I hate Facebook,...maybe if our galleries were more interconnected, like FB is. Maybe a chat linked with our gallery page. Or ways of downloading personal vids (NOT x rated) to our galleries without having to go thru/link up to YouTube first. Something to make the emphasis on this as a "community" as well as a chat room---would bring more of a draw to JUB for those who have no other connection to the "gay world".

Sorry---just a few ideas.
 
I Agree with JOHN_B... while I love the thread topics, a chat room to talk live with instant interaction would be very cool.

JUB has supported our social community well, and I have bounced some of that back to JUB by becoming a Lifetime Supporter (a couple years ago). The suggested contribution to become a "Supporter" is really small, considering all of the camaraderie, insights, advice, caring, etc. that abounds on this site. Of course one can also find malice, rude gossip, personal attacks, etc. as well. It comes with the territory, and NO large social group has ever been immune from the "bad side" in human history. I take it as part of the ebb and flow of this site, and accept that there will be undesirable things happening here as well, but all of it is far overshadowed by the good, the rewarding, and the fun.

ChickenGuy, Crowboy, mbamike, Just: Mills, lube, aren't the only people helped by the existence of JUB. A number of other people come to mind, including some who are no longer members. I can think of some people who would have probably killed themselves, but they reached out here first and found a better direction. I know of people who have found their life mates here. I've attended four JUB meets, and EVERY ONE of those four meets have been attended by at least one person whose life was changed for the better because of JUB.

I am very happy to be here, and I was so happy when we were reassured this vital feature of the JUB site wasn't going anywhere after the ownership change.

Actually, I was thinking he meant those who do a lot of posting in the FUN & GAMES Forum. However, I like your answer better and now I think that's what he meant.
 
I just re-upped my supporter membership but did not see the option for a lifetime one. I would have purchased that option, I think it used to be a hundred bucks or something. I also donated to the Matthew Shepard foundation. I've been thinking of doing it for a long time. I'm getting some commission from a sale next week and thought I'd spend some of it for a good cause.

I loves the JUB!!

Since we moved payment services to CCBill we don't have that or the 'gifting membership' option. This is in the process of being dealt with, however, if you raise a support ticket and talk to the office, I know they are able to do the gift membership, so they may also be able to do the lifetime membership too.

Over @ GagaDaily.com forum, the avatars are HUGE, and you're able to see the images clearly.

^You know....I agree. Our avatars should be bigger if possible. It WOULD make them much clearer to see. Hey mods...is that possible to tweak those a bit to make them bigger?

Really? I strictly use my iTouch and iPhone for JUB, but since I don't type there doesn't seem to be that much difference to me. I will say proofreading is more difficult. So let me apologize for all the "nits" that should have been "nots."

I'm happy to contribute to the Coming Out and Relationship forum. It certainly made it possible for me to fulfill one of my life goals, offer a sounding board to anyone feeling isolated, or scared, or lonely, or confused over sexual orientation. Thanks, JUB. :=D:
 
Like many I found this joint when I was so deeply buried in the closet the sun's light was not able to penetrate. Because of my interactions with other members, many of which are still here I learned to accept myself for who I am. Life is change, a state in flux but I know it is better and I owe that to JUB.

For me what is most telling is that I met a number of people off this site in the real world. The result is a tightly knit group of friends that are family to me.

I'm not on here as much as I used to be but it is comforting to know it is still here and going strong.
