Hey, I could be wrong about the Western Bulldogs - I just remember the matter of the name of Footscray being discussed at a match I went to last year. (The Footscray bit was a little before my time!) I think the Brisbane Lions play under the old Brisbane Bears licence. If you note the initials at the top of the back of a Lions guernsey, they are BBFFC, although I don't know what the two "Fs" stand for.

And by the same token, the Bulldogs have "FFC" at the top of the back of their jumpers for "Footscray Football Club"

Essendon just simply allowed Geelong to win because Bomber Thompson is their coach and he is loved by Essendon as an ex-champion and it was only fair to give him a win because he's a really nice guy.

But personally (and Shhhh on this), I say they're fucked and don't even deserve the wooden spoon this year. They should be placed at 17th on the ladder and forgotten about for the rest of the season. Fucking shit game, I gave up after about half way into the first 1/4. But how could I tip against them, they're my team and Geelong are such wimps and losers in 2006?

I was a bit premature saying that WCE had lost, but they came from behind to win - two weeks in a row they have done this.

Lions & Swans falling in a heap on their home groonds has been my undoing in this round. But THE PIES are a sure thing on Monday, he says confidently.

Let's not get too carried away with THAT other sport that's constantly on our TV screens at the moment (actually, I've had so many late nights because of it, I'm bloody exhausted!! lol). Round 12 of the AFL (the ONLY code that really counts! ) has finally been completed, and what an ordinary round of tipping it was from most us!! Only one tipster did really well and thoroughly deserves this week's pat on the back (or head job, if you'd like one! ) ..... Congrats to atrophic_poker ; 7/8 was brilliant, given that the majority of us could only manage 4 or less.

rugbyusa is still hanging in there on top of the leaderboard, but it looks like his reign may soon be coming to an end, if alt_angry_robot can maintain his current good form.

I don't like it when I get told "Poor Tipping, or "Fair Tipping" when I only get 3 or 4 right for the round.

What I would say is , "No, GREAT tipping, it's 'Poor' or 'Fair' playing by the teams I picked."
