Avicii

sort of a longer version

imagine it's nightime (or early day) - the dance floor is crowded - lights from off the floor

you're feeling pretty damn good

you're on the sidelines now just tapping your foot (or feet), ass and hips starting to move, shoulders not long there after

get out there !!!

Two rather puzzling things about this thread:

1. All of the chance1 YouTube links have the embedded screens, but most of the links by other people do not (and, yes, even the centexfarmer ones don't). I'm sure it's from the upgrade, but why some but not others?

2. And how did this thread end up in C E & P? It's a nice break, but strange to see it here.

There's a lot of songs that became popular and I did not really care to realize were actually covers. I heard this in the car on the way home and did not realize he was the original singer...

It sounds so weird to hear the song by a guy. After seeing the music video, it's just ugh.

Certainly not the best performance of this work on record (but by no means the worst), but at least it was the cleanest recording on YouTube. The tone, phrasing, and overall color was fantastic (duh--it's the CSO), but I was not a fan of the interpretation when it came to pacing (a few pauses held a tad too long, and some of the fermatas were lacking in brevity, all leading to a stop-go flaw in the structure) and handling of rhythmic changes. Those minor issues would be the doing of Pierre Boulez, not the orchestra.

But some nice art.

awwww...I can't hear this (OR look at Jennifer Jason Leigh to this day) without thinking of FAST TIMES where she lost her virginity to that douchebag on a bench at the beach. Such a great fucking song!

Welll I will happily repost for the revival...

TUESDAY WELD!!

What a great thread!

Music is very personal which is not to be confused with always being "deep"

Max - Heaven? wouldn't have guessed u would dig it - a (good) surprise

And JH - just bought Evangeline for my iPhone - think it's a keeper

Mightbe - not a symphony guy usually but I like it - more of background music for me - I'm more of a toe tapper

thanks for sharing

I often find myself watching a movie and thinking "I like that song" and have no idea

"Road to Perdition" is a flawed movie - Tom Hanks, Paul Newman - gangster story - I love the period - thinking 1930's Chicago-ish - the cars, the suits - the whole thing - oh yeah Jude Law was in it - he sucked

flawed - too long - schmaltzy - but I liked it

this is the theme song if u will - piano, strings - good stuff - no toe tapping

just a taste

Love this song, too! Bow tie man is Nick Noonan, fiance' of Amy Heidemann, the female singer. Got their start on YouTube. Nick is a cutie!
