Jub Friends are Great!!

As a JUB alumunus (is that the right one?), I agree with the G-Man whole-heartedly!!! (note the exclamations that I'm infamous for!) lol

JUB is a place where people "learn" about their Gay sexuality in so many ways that it's just too numerous to point to one...

Hopefully, JUB will even become that outlet where people who are on their last leg before doing something irrational, will seek help rather than take that drastic step we all want to prevent!

I know a lot of us "oldies-but-goodies" only wished we had JUB when we were suffering the realiazation of our love of the male form and NOT knowing where to seek help or similiarity....If only we had JUB back then to lean on and have friends for support!

I know that sometimes we ALL get caught up in our own personal battles; but at the end of the day we ALL want to belong and NOT to be alone....just to have JUBBER friends!!

Jub is as great as you make it.What is lame to some may be very entertaining,fun,interesting to others...I love those threads that have us enjoying each other and having fun,though there is very much a place for some serious topics here on Hot Topics.They're the ones that can get bitchy,nasty,negative and sour me on them quick,however.I guess that's why I'm most comfortable in Fun And Games,which is reviled by some for frivolity and cliqueishness,ignored as not serious or compelling enough by others,and just plain loved by those who are part of its family-which anyone can join.But that's just my taste,and whatever you get pleasure out of,is great.

In my time here I have found that the most amazing thing about JUB is that it gives us a forum to exchange with each other where place, age, size and race become invisible. I have too often found when meeting other gay men at events like Pride or in a club that there is often a barrier that keeps people from sharing with others.

I won't go talk with this guy, he's too old, if I hang aroung this guy everyone will think I'm a chubby chaser.... if I say hi, will this guy get the wrong idea?

The beauty of JUB is that you get to share ideas and disagree and laugh with everyone and anyone, and maybe sometimes it even opens up some people's horizons a bit.

I think the world could do with more people talking to each other like this... might be alot fewer misunderstandings and alot more friends

This is exactly what I do. In fact, I found Jub by mistake looking for porn and now that is one of the last things I search for here. This thread just proves my point about how many great Jubbers are here.

There have been a couple of threads lately commenting on how trivial Jub has become and threads becoming lame.
I just want to say, since joining Jub in early May, this site has done so much for me. I've discovered there actually are people out there just like me who understand me for who I am with no reservations and support me in coping with my demons and questions.
The best of all is the precious real friends I have made that I would have never known otherwise! So I have to say thank you to JD and Seth for having such a wonderful place for me to come and learn and find friends for life!

I've met some really incredible people here. I've even done what I never expected, and have actually made some real life friends from this website.

The members on JUB has ligthened my days, and my heart, and I've become a better person because of some of my encounters here.

I've been hanging around here 3 years. I was here when this site was called
LinkMeallOver.com. That seems like ages ago. Suffice it to say, this place has had quite an impact on my life. I was MrTBird1964...now MrMatt2X.....who knows what next. Just reinforces to me that life is full of changes.
I've been pretty much OUT for years, but this place has helped me to truly understand that being gay is a blessing, not a curse. It's helped me to know and realize how many of us there actually are out there around the world, and that there are straights who love us also.

I too wish to thank the managers of this site. JUB has provided a spot to meet so many beautiful people. An additional advantage is to learn more about how other guys react to and deal with being a gay man.

As others have stated, the porn drew me to this site first. That is secondary now, I like to read the things that other gay guys write and am always drawn to the new posts and threads first of all when I log in. (I still like to see naked guys in galleries though, so please guys, don't stop adding thoughs).

I've made some good friends here as many of you have. Sometimes the friendships are short, but often they linger. I've been a member for almost a year now (started with a different user name).

Gmoney wrote that sometimes JUB does feel lame, repetitive. That is true in many ways. On the other hand, sometimes I've been able to communicate with many guys that have made me laugh, given me enlightenment, helped me figure things out.

Many of you have made far more friends than I have here, but I don't look it as any sort of contest.

This just re-enforces what I have said all along! Jub is the greatest! And Jub is what it is because of its members. JD and Seth put up a great site, but it wouldn't be what it is without all the wonderful members that make me truly feel like a human being!
