God knows it may have a better chance of success than any attempt at a New York meet.I felt bad for pacs on that one...he was the only one really trying to get things together and he had a lot more patience than I ever did...for where that got him!
I think it would be an interesting exercise to see where the interest lies.

Burkhart's was my first gay club I ever went to. That's when I met Elvin for the first time. I was so nervous! One, for meeting someone online for the first time and two, for being in a gay club for the first time. Just the times Elvin left to use the restroom had me almost frozen with fear! Now, I'm so glad I got past that and can enjoy myself with others like me. If you want to try again, just let us know. We'll even meet in the parking lot if that makes you more comfortable. Once you get past the fear, you'll feel so much better for yourself and have loads of fun too!

Sorry to take so long to post … I slept rather long and hard. Today has been nice and slow, piddling with my chores and chatting on the phone with gentry. Ahhh.
I agree with elvin1 and gmoney, last nite was definitely a nite to remember. I had a blast !!! Both of you and vetteboi are terrific~ Let’s do it again soon
I think I was the first to arrive at Burkhart’s and after cruising through the place, situated myself upstairs and waited for a clue. A few minutes after 9, I started approaching each group asking “Are you with JUB?” Nobody showed any signs of recognition, although two guys became rather adamant about the fact that they both already had jobs and “NO WE DON’T WANT A JOB!”. (JUB/JOB – I guess the music was a bit loud
) I just smiled and sauntered toward the next group. There were actually a lot of people there. Anyways, with only a few possibilities remaining to ask ~I met vetteboi. And so began the adventure. I thank a flashing neon sign or something similar might help us find each other next time. Of course I showed up without an RSVP, which was kinda dumb.
I never knew it was possible to have a 3-way on a pool table. vetteboi explained how we could each keep track of our balls while taking turns. I can honestly say that vetteboi is a guy I will always look up to. When elvin1 finally showed up, we were able to pair off and do it the regular way – but we did trade-off partners a few times. I think gmoney and I have the same basic rhythm – at least, we kept ending up in the bathroom together. Oh, and elvin1 really knows how to move his stuff. He is a bundle of pure energy. He tends to thrust his stick kinda hard and fast, but is pretty good at hitting the right spot. We even had an audience there for a while.
We bounced around to other parts of the bar, met a guy who seemed to want to say something to us, but none of us could figure out exactly what he was all about. (I hope he had a guardian angel, ‘cause he didn’t seem to have all his wits.) We met other interesting people … lots of cute guys, often squeezed in with us in some rather tight spaces … Later in the evening I had a short but almost intimate conversation with a nice lady who also happened to be there, but it seemed that everyone else was listening-in on our conversation. I suppose I should thank gmoney for that introduction. It was ALL good. We danced, laughed a lot, and then ended the evening with a dose of some up-close eye candy. What a blast, fellas!
Seriously guys~ these JUB meets ROCK!!! If you notice that one is happening in your city – you don’t wanna miss out. It's a great way to do the male bonding thingy.

I had a blast! Thanks to Elvin1, gmoney and opinterph for making this event such a success. Like they say, it's not the size that matters, but what you do with it. We only had four show, but we couldn't have had more fun with 100.
We started off the night by showing off our great billiard skills (lol). We proved that you can take an hour to play one game of pool. After several 12 once curls, we were all feeling pretty good by the time the drag show started. At this point Elvin kicked into flirt mode and had the guys eating out of his hand. It was all in good fun. Elvin even had to pretend to be my boyfriend to get rid of some freak that wouldn't leave me alone (thanks Elvin). As it was opinterph's birthday, gmoney arrange for the drag queens to drag him on stage. Opinterph was a good sport about it (all the alcohol probably helped). After the drag show there was a little dancing, then a trip to Swing Richard's (gay strip club). The entire evening was kick ass!
By the way, I can't believe Elvin and gmoney had energy left to post when they got home last night. I turned on the computer, but I was so tired I gave up any thought of posting.
If anyone came and didn't find us, I apologize. There were a lot more people upstairs at 9:00 than I anticipated, which may have made it hard to find us. Anyone who indicated they were coming, I had sent a PM with my picture. Next time I will do a better job of organizing the meeting place.
Darkness, I'm so sorry you didn't come in, but I fully understand the fear factor. The first time I went to a gay bar (intentionally) I drove around the block like three times making sure it looked safe. We'll have to meet up sometime soon and get you out having some fun!

opinterph, you posted when I was writing my post. You and gmoney may have had the same rhythm last night, but it looks like we are in sync today. I also want to put a big thanks to gentry from insisting that you attend the meet. I feel like I made two new friends last night (already knew gmoney) and I hope to hang out with you guys often. I can't wait to meet gentry.

It's cool you guys had a good time. It's always nice to have a night out with gay guys. I spend so much time around straight ones, i forget how much fun it is to sit with a couple guys and talk about the hot boys out tonight and not have everyone roll their eyes.
