Started growing a Van Dyke (goatee and mustache) a few weeks ago! Didn't know how long it would (or will) last...but so far, so good!

Alley's beard looks nice though cus it's trimmed.

I shave my beard cus it itches if I grow it out. Plus I don't want to ruin my boyish good looks with a beard. I'm young. It's my job to look fresh.

I've let it alternate between just a goatee/mustache and a full beard probably since 1991, but it's been a full beard for at least the last 2 years now.

I have a beard and mustache right now. In about a month I'll take it down to beard and goatee, and around the middle of may I'll get rid of the mustache. From late June till about the end of the semester, I'll have a goatee, which may get down to almost just a soul patch at the height of summer. But I won' shave that off. I just don't enjoy my face as much with no facial hair. And I just don't like the mustache-only look.

Beginning about early october, I'll bring back the 'stache, and by the end of the Oct. I'll be letting the rest of the beard fill in.

^ I do the same. Shave the neck, keep the beard trimmed (3mm). And I shave off the bristly hairs directly under my lip - they're white and stick out.

Oh, I may have to shave off the beard soon. I don't want to, but I think my skin needs some rest.

I use to have beard. I shave it when it is too long and annoying and let it grow up again.

Can't grow one to save my life... it's all patchy and goofy-looking. I also have the same problem as Kennyworth where it comes in in different colors (though the variety has shifted more toward shades of grey).
