Chapter Nine
Rob did his best to hide his annoyance at the reappearance of the deputy Jon Novak while Judd effusively welcomed him back. Jon showed no sign of being aware of Rob’s feelings and although he apologised for having to impose himself on them again, the glint in his eye when he acknowleged Judd’s welcome did not go unnoticed.
‘I was able to radio from the helicopter for fuel to be brought up here and all being well a supply should be here sometime tomorrow morning, meanwhile, I regret that I shall have to impose myself upon your hospitality.’
‘No problem,’ Judd said. ‘You can use my room, I have changed the bed since we got rid of that rogue Perkins.’
‘Thanks, you are generous. But my most pressing need is for a shower. I got hot and sweaty moving that snow and reckoned on getting back home when I left here such a short while ago.’
‘You can use the shower in the bathroom attached to the bedroom,’ Judd said and Jon thanked him and went to the room. A few minutes later Judd remembered that he had not put fresh towels in the bathroom and went to the laundry room to fetch some. He knocked on the door of the bedroom and entered. Jon had stripped down to his underwear and looked up with a smile.
‘I’ve brought you some towels,’ Judd said laying them on the bed. He ran his eyes over the slender muscled body of the young deputy, admiring what he saw.
‘Thanks,’ Jon said taking the towels from Judd and placing them on the bed. ‘I have to make a confession,’ he continued.
‘Oh yes and what is that?’ Judd asked.
‘I had enough fuel to get me all the way to the city but I needed an excuse to get back to see you. I have the hots for you and I couldn’t wait for another chance to get to see you.’ Having said that Jon walked up to Judd, flung his arms around him and pulling him close kissed him hard on the mouth. Judd quickly responded and they were soon in a tight clinch, exchanging hot, passionate kisses. Judd’s hand wandered down to grasp the growing bulge in Jon’s undies. He massaged the hardening cock feeling it get larger in his clasping hand. He dropped down to his knees and tugged the briefs down allowing the now fully erect cock to spring out. He took a grip on it with his right hand and ran his tongue over the glistening mushroom head.
Jon gasped, ‘Take it all down,’ he said his voice braking over the words as his throat constricted with the anticipation of the pleasure to follow. Judd gripped and pulled down on Jon’s ball sac, feeling the weight of the plums as he swallowed the entire length of the deputy’s cock. Jon put his hands on Judd’s head and guided his cock ever deeper into the chef’s hungry mouth.
‘Awe fuck! That feels sooo good!’ Jon moaned as he trembled from head to foot with the sheer delight of the feelings Jon’s mouth and tongue were creating as they stimulated his towards a climax. With a final shiver and thrush of his hips Jon burst his load deep into Judd’s mouth. Judd spluttered and rose to his feet to come face to face with Jon and then slapped his mouth over Jon’s open lips to share the globs of cum with him.
Rob meanwhile had heard all what had transpired and was overcome with jealousy. In particular he was aware of what Jon had said about his return flight to the cabin. ‘The bastard!’ Rob muttered under his breath. In his jealous rage he wanted to dash into the room and beat the life out of Jon. Instead he did a crazy thing. Grabbing his coat he ran out to the helicopter and clambered up into the pilot’s seat. He knew nothing about flying a helicopter but after fumbling with the control switches he fired up the engine and more by luck than anything else got the craft off the ground. He steered it round into the direction of the city and not knowing how he would ever get the helicopter back safely on land flew off.
Judd had heard the engine’s roar and dashed to the window in time to see the helicopter making an erratic rise into the air before it skimmed over the tree tops and disappeared from view. H turned to Jon and said, ‘The idiot – he’s taken the helicopter!’
‘Does he know how to operate it?’ Jon asked.
‘Not as far as I know. He’s never said anything about flying a plane or whatever!’
‘I’ll have to phone base and warn them,’ Jon said anxiously. He pulled on his clothes and Judd took him to the office to use the phone.
‘That’s right,’ Judd heard Jon say. ‘He has taken the ‘copter but so far as I know he is not trained to fly one. The guy here said he saw him heading toward the city… he’s putting others as well as himself in grave danger….. That’s right someone should intercept him and talk him down safely…. Thanks, I’ll wait to hear from you.’
Jon replaced the telephone headpiece and turned to Judd. ‘They’ll try to talk him down… The man’s a complete fool! He could end up dead!’
It didn’t tale Judd long to work out that Rob must have gone off in a jealous rage and feelings of guilt flowed over him. ‘It’s my fault,’ he said. ‘Rob said he wans in love with me. I didn’t feel that way about him and he knew it. Hearin me with you must have driven him crazy… God! I hope he’ll be alright.’
There was nothing either Jon or Judd could do but sit and wait. The minutes ticked slowly by and after what seemed like hours they heard the sound of a helicopter approaching. They dashed out into the snow and saw that it was not the helicopter that Rob had taken off in but one bearing the Police Department logo. A uniformed officer climbed down from the aircraft and walked toward them.
‘Your crazy friend has been found. The helicopter had crash landed in a ravine,’ the officer said.
‘Is…is he… is he dead?’ Judd asked, dreading what the answer might be.
‘No… well not as far as I can tell,’ the officer replied. ‘We reached him just in time else the cold would have got hi, He has been flown to the County Hospital. He was still unconscious last I heard, with a couple of broken ribs and a broken leg and many scratches and abrasions. The medics think he will live.’
‘I must get to him!’ Judd exclaimed.
The Police helicopter took Judd to the helipad outside the hospital. He dashed through to reception and asked where he might find Rob.
‘Are you a relative?’ the receptionist asked.
‘No… I’m his… I’m his partner!’ Judd replied. ‘We’re together… you must let me see him!’
Judd was directed to the side ward where Rob lay surrounded by electronic equipment. His eyes were closed and he had an oxygen mask covering his nose and mouth.
‘Oh my God!’ Judd said, ‘don’t you die on me you stupid lovely hunk!’ He sat by the bed and held Rob’s hand praying for some sign that he was going to be OK. A doctor and nurse looked in and checked the charts and read-outs from the various machines that wee recording Rob’s heartbeats, blood pressure and breathing.
‘Do you want to go and get some food or maybe sleep for a while? We can let you know if there is any change.’ the doctor asked.
‘No, not just now,’ Judd replied. ‘I cannot leave him. I want to stay by his side; it’s my fault that he is here.’ After a while Judd felt his eyes grow heavy and as hard as he tried he could not stay awake and so he fell into a troubled sleep. He dreamed that he was pushing first Mike Perkins away from Rob and then he was fighting off Jon. Each in turn was trying to remove the life support machinery from Rob as though threatening to kill him. In his sleep Judd cried out and felt some one grab his hand. His eyes opened and he was awake; he looked down and saw that Rob had a firm grip on his hand. The he saw that Rob’s eyes were open and he was smiling at him through the transparent plastic mask.
‘Thank God you are awake!’ Judd said, tears of joy in his eyes. ‘I am so sorry! It was not until I thought something terrible had happened to you that I knew that you mean so much to me. I have been a fool, when you said you loved me, I did not realize that I felt the same way about you. Will you forgive me for being so stupid?’
Rob smiled and nodded. Judd rang the bell for the nurse who came and removed the mask and Rob was able to speak to Judd. ‘I am so pleased you are here. I should apologize to you for taking off like I did but I was so jealous of the deputy. I think I must have gone mad. How the hell could I fly a helicopter! It was a miracle that I got it off the ground. I flew it toward the city but the engine cut and the helicopter began to spin round out of control as the blades ground to a stop. Next thing I knew the trees were coming up to me and then the thing turned over and everything went black.’

Two weeks later, Rob was released from hospital and he and Judd took a flight to Florida. They had decided that they had had enough of the cold northern climate and were going to start their lives together as a couple where the sun was warm and high in the sky.
