Why should she? It's not as though Judge Judy is a judge, and it's not as though that TV studio is a court.

The sponsors pay the "judgments." So she keeps the money and the "plaintiffs" get their money back. Everyone's happy, including Judy whose ratings she ensured remain high by ripping the scamatrix a new one.

It's all pretend.

They only pay the judgments up to $1500. Regardless, she scammed 8 other people, and is being investigated by the Attorney General. So....this particular judgment aside, the bitch is still in a world of trouble.

Wow! Judge Judy let her have it! Here's how the TV show works. Both the Plaintiff and the Defendant signs a contract that Judge Judy's ruling is final, and that they cannot take the same case to an actual court. In the contract, the winner is awarded up to a maximum of $5,000 with the remaining funds being divided 50/50 between the defendant and plaintiff for appearing on the show.

In this case, Judge Judy nailed the defendant by awarding all $5,000 to the plaintiff! That bum doesn't get a single penny for humiliating herself on the show! And the only reason why she would have appeared on that show in the first place was to get 50% of whatever would be left over of the $5,000. But Judge Judy didn't give her a cent! Awesome!

And rarely does that happen. Usually the loser gets a chunk of the $5,000, even the ones Judge Judy chews out. She has to be very pissed to award all $5,000 to the defendant/plaintiff.
