The June jobs # sucked - 80K jobs - seems like that "story" has been neglected - in its place is Bain Capital/Outsourcing/Mitt is a felon ........ Walking Dead stuff

Well it seems like the 80K jobs horror show is only the 1/2 of it or rather 2/3 of it as about 1/3 of those jobs are TEMPORARYjobs with no health care - no benefits - no job security

Seems like the new norm because employers don't trust Pres. Obama and his "war on small business" and the answer is to hire temporary - and the use of temps is actually outpacing new hires by a 10:1 ratio

Data says that only 30% (let's say 1/3) of temporary workers find permanent employment - that's in 2012 so far - last year it was 45% - not good

Seems that employers have a "commitment problem" - ObamaCare is scaring the shit out of hirers - new taxes, red tape causing each new hire to COST MORETASTI-D-LITE (which I like) CEO says that his co. will be forcing franchises like his to shift workers from full to part-time

Between ObamaCare and The Pres. desire to $250K-ize the tax cuts (which will impact small businesses negatively) - Pres. Obama's polices are hurting business - which hurt workersIt's no wonder Obama's crew wants to talk Bain Capital and the 3 years (long ago) not his own 3 years as President

It doesn't matter...Obama's progressive and he is the smartest and best thing since sliced bread....actually so much better since white carbs are so bad !:lol:Very few times we'll actually witness compelling give and take among differing perspectives, but Obama really has done a piss poor job getting "jobs" on track.Bush was criticized for his rather weak recovery after the 2001 recession(which was actually getting under way at the end of Clinton's term, late 2000...but which was thrust right away as Bush's recession by the progressive left)but it's scandalous that the dirty little secret Obama hasn't waxed boringly philosophic about is that high unemployment seems to be the new normal. If Obama really had his way, about health care, about carbon taxes, about a whole host of regulations and bureaucratic red tape all his initiatives would impose on the economy,we'd never grow out of budget deficits and unacceptably high unemployment AND underemployment. If the real overall employment picture is honestly discussed, part time and temporary positions are increasingly being seen as a way for businesses t avoid exorbitant costs of bureaucratic compliance.Talks about helping small businesses with one hand but of course in that paternalistic, let the government dole out the goods approach that only guarantees stagnation and economic pessimism in all quarters.

And this coming from someone who won't vote for Romney, mostly because of the dislike I have for the confluence of Tea Party /social conservatism that it's becoming difficult in the GOP to resist. If the GOP weren't so damed ideological these days,I'd gladly give them my vote as a protest to the leftward drift of Democratic politics(in tone if not always in results).Obama is like every other Machiavellian pol,he loves to assign blame to others,to have EVERYONE in opposition to him scrutinized...but how dare anyone criticize him on a substantive basis,it's anti-progressive,and to some of his buddies and cronies, most insidiously,well....ANTI-BLACK!!!This from the guy who bleated that "I WON"regarding how much he should compromise with the GOP on the basic structure of his initiatives or the Republicans can come along and give their input on policy from the back seat of the car. This from the guy insisting we put America back to work with shovel ready job projects yet forgetting to mention because of unions and other bureaucratic red tape it would take an eternity for for the great bulk of such jobs to ever see the light of day,if that.So then he later refered jokingly that there weren't that many shovel ready jobs that were really ready to go.If Romney said that,of course you know what the Jubber Clubbers and their ilk would say....what a horrible monster,greedy....selfish....out of touch...insensitive....uncaring.

Obama gets a pass.He walks on water,or the sun for his green groupies.Yet he has yet to show a true spine,a real indication that he really can lead, and not just schmooze and cause tingling feelings up the legs of idiot syncophants.Even on marriage equality,he lies about an "evolution"that was just a matter of political calculation. He strongly supported marriage equality in his race for the Illinois Senate...but as his national stature grew and ambitions exploded exponentially he backtracks and plays games.Like he does with this economy, how he has failed to create the conditions that would promote a broad economic expansion....he promises better for the have nots but in reality only will succeed in bringing more down to an equal, mediocre level.I don't care that my position isn't the popular one here.....and I'm not on board with movement conservatism,either....Grover Norquist and Michele Bachman can kiss my ass with their ideological purity.

I want someone who works for Americans as a whole.....fuck all the interests the right and left candidates have to pay homage to and dare not veer from total fealty to their agendas....in word if not actual belief.I'm pro-life,pro gay, moderate on gun rights, but ultimately not an individual agenda voter.I believe in treating workers fairly but I know from experience unions are only self interested too often, the perks and lack of accountability is no more defensible than corporations and wealthy Americans that look out for their interests without concern of how others are affected.Obama isn't the answer, and he certainly won't hold himself accountable.

The problem with your view Sausy is whenever the Democratic party gives anything to the Teaparty the TP then turns around and demands more.

I like damn near everything you say BUT the 'giving in to get something done' accusation thrown at Obamney won't work. The TP has already taught the democratic party how to regain power. Simply filibuster everything the other party does regardless of outcome. So no matter who wins the election nothing is going forward.

(Oh and I said Obamaney because it matters very little WHO actually occupies the white house)

So things are going the way the House Republicans want them: nothing good is allowed to occur.

And the Senate Republicans have joined in the House's war on small business, filibustering the bill Obama wanted that could have created a million jobs.

so 1/3 of the 80k jobs are TEMPORARY

and we're not counting those who have stopped looking

and they exceed those who are finding jobs

scary shit

we need a change in leadership

According to the partisans,we need Obama just to be more into big government spending, slash defense to the bone....and raises taxes to 40% or better, and we're good to go.They want Obama unleashed....even scarier shit!:twisted:Not to say I'm kittens for Mittens.....but Obama is determined to finish what he inherited!!!;)
