Jurassic World Wins Box Office Again as Terminator and Magic Mike Fall Flat
There were some serious fireworks at the Fourth of July box office this weekend, but while a few movies exploded, others just fizzled.
Jurassic World and Inside Out have been neck and neck these past few weeks, but this is the closest they’ve been yet. Jurassic World made an estimated $30.9 million, while Inside Out was just behind with $30.1 million. While technically this is Jurassic World’s fourth weekend at No. 1, it’s almost too close to call, and when final weekend numbers are released on Monday, there’s a chance that Inside Out could finally dethrone the dinosaurs. (Inside Out actually won the five-day holiday period with an estimated $45.3 million over Jurassic World’s $43.8 million.)
