A couple weeks ago, I bought this non-working electric ride mower from a local guy for 100 bucks. Worked on it. Got it working again. Upgraded the battery from lead acid to Lifepo4 100AH. Changed battery indicator to be able to read lithium. Changed keyed starter to push with LED.

Rode it around the neighborhood... before the snow hits yesterday.

Overall, new batteries and parts cost about $600.

Here's link to this mower.

Awesome. It's nice to be able and to know how to do all this stuff.

It's a hobby. Now I got 2 ride mowers. I planned keeping the good one at home.

The new used mower I will keep at one of my apartment buildings. So, the plan is to mow about an acre there, drive it to another building about half a mile away to mow that one, and then drive aboit 2 miles to another building and mow that one. Then drive it back to the first and store it there. Hope the battery I just upgraded to has enough capacity for all that. This will save me a a few hundred dollars a month in landscaping expenses. And I actually enjoy using the ride mower.

Are you allowed to drive that on the highway (as opposed to towing it on a trailer)? Will you not need to pay tax and insurance?

Residential streets. I will just drive on the sidewalk.
