This is Nahoon Beach, East London...on the Eastern Cape coast of SA and is a popular surfing spot. It is my old home town where most of my family still live.

The Xhosa nation settled in the area of the Eastern Cape. During the apartheid years they were forced to live in the Eastern Cape coastal homelands of Transkei and Ciskei. The Kei River east of East London (where I grew up) formed the western border of the Transkei. The Ciskei was just to the west of East London.
Famous Xhosas are Nelson Mandela and SA's president Thabo Mbeki.
