As we were walking up to the Citadel the Union Jack was being raised, it had to be done twice as the ropes got mixed up and the flag wouldn't fly properly lol!

Every day at noon the cannon is fired

Standing at attention waiting for the signal

Would you believe I actually missed the moment suprème, it all happened so fast I couldn't get a shot of it I got one of the smoking cannon just after instead

After Halifax it was further along the Lighthouse Trail and to Peggy's Cove that has the only post office/lighthouse in the world and was very hard to tak a pic of, there were so many people about. We stopped on the way at either East or West Dover (I really loved seeing all those familiar English names I have been to in England over in Canada as well) and here's a few from along the way

Movin on to Peggy's Cove....In spite of all the tourists it really is a beautiful village.

And the surrounding landscape looks a lot like this. If I remember correctly it's a protected environment. Reminds me very much of The Burren in Ireland.

And the light house is built on top of huge granite rocks that makes up the coastline

And finally the lighthouse itself. Kinda hard to take a pic with so many people going in and out all the time, so I took pics from the rocks below instead.
