WELL! here is MY turn to make YOU jealous, as I astound you with my artwork from grades 10 and 11! Bow down to the talent which glows from the screen as you regard only a sampling of what I have to offer!

um, so the first is called "Ghosts" and is of my friend and I in a stairwell taken with a pinpoint cam.
the second, "Girl" is a copy (not a trace) of a character pic from the Alice in Wonderland video game. My friends said it was hentai... and I spent the rest of the year begging them to tell me what "hentai" was.
"Bunny Puller" is a copy of an editor's cartoon from the newspaper at the time.

"Concentration" and "Sky Gazing" (we were wonders at naming pieces, weren't we?) are two pieces from my friend's and my photo project. It's currently being display in the AGO. I swear. And if it isn't there when you visit, it's cause they've deemed it to valuable to leave in the open and have locked it away in storage.

I didn´t say I didn´t like his work, I love it!
But it doesn´t reach too deep into my sensibility, it just couldn´t: a rule of my nature, just like being attracted to the slightest trace of art and savoir faire in life, that´s all

However, one thing they are MOST RIGHT about, is how unfairly, unjustly and unreasonably underrated the work of Bouguereau is, as well as that of most "pompier"( ) painters for that matter.

Thanks, but I´m not that big fan of him: in fact, (apart from my general preference for XVIIth century Dutch masters, at the core of the good XVIth-XVIIIth classical European) I only really believe in Velázquez and Leonardo
Still, better a Bouguereau than Ingres, David or other officially acceptable neoshit.
Maybe you may want to share some Otto Dix paintings of war veterans... or a certain rather gay painting earlier work of Bouguereau himself
