This pic is not a pleasant one, but unfortunately the truth is not pleasant...

July 27, 2003 -- 1 500 white crosses were placed in a drought-scorched field near Centurion (near Johannesburg) by peace protestors.
This was to commemorate the souls of the 1500 white farmers (wives and children included) who had been murdered in more than 8000 armed attacks against their homesteads since 1994.
The International Campaign against Genocide (Genocide Watch) warned in December 2002 that these attacks have all the signs of ethnic cleansing. This would lead to all-out genocide of the white farmer unless the SA government urgently intervened.

There are just over 1million Indians living in SA, of which 650 000 live in Durban making up 20% of the city's population.

The thing I never understand about taking picture is how come when you try your best and you've taken everything into account (light, shade, and in my case whether or not I've got my finger stuck in the lens again, etc) the picture is never as good as the one you have in your head and the ones that you don't give much thought to are far better. For example

here's one I tried my best on. It's out of focus and I had to use PhotoPremium to get it the way it is now by adjusting the contrast, colour and sharpened the image

and this one which I think is far better and all I did was press the button
