One of the most pleasant surprises on the Italian Riviera is the small fishing village of Camogli, tucked away between Portofino Mountain and the Ligurian Sea.

Looks as though it barely made it in between the two! Great picture...!

This is crape myrtle. It does very well in the hot summers in Washington, DC. Flowers appear in July and last until late September. Today the forecast calls for 37C/98F. Phew!

I love them! It's one of the ways we know it's summer here where I live!

Thanks, Buzzj!

I did not know that there was a thread like this one. Very nice! (*8*)

Here the way I saw the football WC.

1. The beginning of the finale from the dome of the German parliament building Reichstag. A view on the Olympiastadion en miniature in front of the parliament with 10,000 seats.

2. The first half of the petite finale in Berlins multicultural quarter Kreuzberg SO36. At a funny location, were I had to run away from 1990 because of a police attack with water cannons and tear gas.

3. The opposite side of the street with a nobel, elegant Indian restaurant.

Actual aerial views of low income housing projects in Mexico City.. they almost don't look real!..I thought it was a model when I first saw them. Not all of them are painted yet. The Latin American color scheme is very different form our muted palette around here.

It puts the idea of the 'unique individual' in a different light!

Those colors would never fly in my town--- but aren't they fun!!

I have A LOT more of Chicago if anyone wants to see them. I just need a way to resize them all and then send them to my laptop off of my desktop.
