Thanks for the pictures, D-Base! What's the building in this photo--- looks like it might be a church? It reminds me of St. Sophia in Istanbul!

It's St. Alexander Nevski cathedral, it's the biggest orthodox cathedral in the world.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims have been flocking to Mount Arafat near Mecca, Saudi

During the five-day hajj, the pilgrims pray at the summit where the prophet Mohammed gave his last sermon

A huge tent city is set up close to Mount Arafat to accommodate pilgrims for the duration of the hajj

The prayers at the top of Mount Arafat are the first major rite in the pilgrimage. All Muslims who are able to do so must make the journey at least once in their lives

Sydney was one of the first cities to welcome in 2007. As well as thousands of spectacular fireworks, the Harbour Bridge was illuminated with a red coathanger, a nod to the Bridge's nickname
